A good way to market an ebook is to keep the price within .99-$2.99, you achieve 75% of the profits I think. How you market the book from the webinars I've attended on Traffic Travis is to set up a day where you offer your book for FREE,

however,

you need to get 100 people you know to download and review that book within that 1-2 days your book is for free. What this does is catapult the book up to the top of its search on that topic because of the "surge" of feedback you received. Cost $100 to get an isbn number if you do it yourself, btw, for those interested, but you don't need an isbn to sell e-books.

With Kindle being the hottest e-reader on the market, sales for e-books are shooting through the roof. So I would seriously consider self-publishing on the e-book than allowing a publishing house to take of your profits.

As far as titles are concerned, I do not believe they are copyright protected. However, I would go with:

If you would look at this objectively you would understand why eBay would take this off their site. What the KKK did in this country, well, heinous is a word that comes to mind. I would not have put it up, but since you got the connections you needed to sell the item, it was worth the risk, however, I would caution you in the future. You've been flagged once. I don't know how tolerant eBay is if they have to flag you again.

I know someone who worked in the legal department at eBay and they were like true bounty hunters. Just don't stir the pot if you don't have to. All I am saying.

I tried to sell one of my Amazon gift cards, think it was $100 physical card and the only ones who responded on Craigs were those who wanted to "steal" the card for at the bare minimum of 70%. Amazon doesn't have everything I would like to buy so I thought I could at least shave $10-$15 off. People wanted me to shave $30 off.

I'd rather just buy what I can find. I have a stack of these Amazon cards I worked my butt off for a company during their contests. Got a lot of 1st place but I earned the spot, wasn't an easy win. So I am not so easy to part with the cards for so little.

I have no idea how people make money buying cards unless they are able to buy from desperate people or stolen cards or somehow people who attained cards for free at work or at a discount to them.

I missed the first episode but just watched the second and third. O-M-G just when I though auction show could not get any crazzzier! What is with all the shouting and trash talking? It feels like they're all playing street basketball. Not sure about Deana. Don't know if she bought anything in the first show, but zero in the 2nd and 3rd. Hope she's not just a token female cast member.

I've been a member on eBay since 2004 and in both Santa Monica and Santa Cruz the post office was just a hop, jump, skip away. "Extra" trip was just a few blocks for me. Not trying to be cocky, trying to state a fact as to "why" my ranking is at 100%.

I did have a guy in England who attempted to give me a bad rating through Paypal, etc., but I worked it out with him. Guy wouldn't give me his exact address so I knew it was shady from the start, but he had won the item.

I knew a guy who had a 100% rating on 5000 items sold. That's just crazy good seller. I have sold less than 100 items and bought over 100 items off eBay. The items I've sold quite a variety. From original fencing T-shirts, camera gear, film equipment, to books, and at that time I did ship world wide. My Nikon camera body went to one part of the world and the lens at another.

Because I'm a writer I know how to market the item. My eBay description very detailed on every dent, scratch or imperfection down to the letter. No surprises. On most items I offer 100% back return, but not all. It's a combination of my shipping offer, truthful descriptions and quick turn around communication that I've not had problems on eBay. Those are just facts.

I no longer sell on eBay because I don't have large inventory. I'm back to Craigs or smaller forums to get a little bit more for my money now.

I have on their half-priced store for Textbooks. Harder to move textbooks on eBay than on Amazon.
