also found about $500 in scrap , $1000 in tools, $1000 in wheels and tires, $1000 misc ebay items, about $500 in household yardsale fodder, and about $1000 in weapons, ammo, and music equipment. Maybe $500 in furniture. Was a good month, nothing spectacular but good.

usually they don't make a profit but the tenant doesn't get the remainder. after auction fees, late fees, labor fees etc. I've never heard of anyone getting a check in the mail.

although i agree to a point, i think getting a small unit right away is important. Something under $100. The hardest part of this game is selling the stuff. Once you figure that out you're golden. But I do agree live are better , especially for the beginner. Although less personal intimidation online. I dunno, I didn't have the option when i started out.

haha, i'll sell them eventually. I don't take the out of the settings, i just put them all in a scrap jar basically until i decide to sell. I'm kinda waiting for gold to get a little bump before i sell again.

yah i undertand what you're saying and I don't throw any of that stuff away. But when a new guy asks about things like that I don't want him bidding on a unit because he sees a bunch of faded glory t-shirts or something :P You can make money on clothes but It's never the reason I buy a unit.

thats decent. do you get heat or power in there? thats what im looking for. During the winter i'm kinda confined to my garage which is only about 600 sq ft.

yah, everyone knows me here so i guess i get certain "perks". I tried the same thing down in florida and it did NOT fly lol. Here I don't ask I just go in before I put my lock on.

I always bid higher in my turf. It makes complete sense. You have a lot less gas, milage and labor costs. Also, it does give you a warm fuzzy feeling when everyone points as you're pulling up at the facility(in a little mazda).

if i KNOW there are multiple units owned by the same person I buy the first one and tear through it real quick, if it looks promising i buy the others.
