The Treasure Chest / Anyone had any good finds lately?
« on: July 01, 2021, 07:05:19 PM »
Anyone had any good finds lately? Bought a unit last week with a couple sets of kitchen cabinets in it. Paid $400 for it. Posted ads on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist for $1,750. Sold it the next day. Didn't even have to move anything myself.

So, what storage auction reality shows are still on the air? Haven't watched them in quite a while, but I don't really watch much TV nowadays.

Hey, welcome to the forum. What sort of items are you trying to sell? Have you tried having a garage sale?

Price check for 2019....

I've bought a few bargains and seen some ridiculously overpriced units.

How are prices in your area for online units these days?

My guess is NO, because the title hasn't been transferred to you, but it wouldn't hurt to consult with an attorney.

I have 2 rooms devoted to this, one room for things i'm nostalgic for, another for the weird oddity type stuff.

Same here, except instead of rooms, that's what I decorate my house with. My style is a cross between Alice in Wonderland and Steampunk.

I've stopped following mainstream media a while back. They lost all credibility, at least in my book.

Same here. I cut the cable 2 years ago, don't miss it at all. Get all my movies/TV shoes for free off GoMovies. Don't watch news at all anymore. It's actually quite freeing. Now if I could only stay away from Facebook, I'd be doing good. LOL

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: Old laptops/computers

I've been buying and reselling computers for the last couple of years as a hobby, mainly just so I can always have the latest and greatest technology. Unless you have something really high end, people just aren't willing to pay what it's worth. Bought an Alienware R17 at a pawn shop several months ago for $500, used it for a while and sold it for $850. Those kind of deals are rare, but usually, I could turn a $50-100 profit on each flip. If you keep up with technology and prices, you can actually make a decent living just buying PCs from pawn shops and reselling them on Craigslist.

Welcome to the forum, hope you find answers to all your questions.

13
I'm going to leave that question in the hand of those who have really been actively reselling lately.

Most climate controlled units are indoors, but I've had to clean out some indoor units that were saunas. Most of the units you can drive up to are non-climate controlled.

I don't think anyone can deny the bias is the media, but they've just gone too far. It's like they're trying to perpetuate a race war....like they're trying to cause civil unrest and ultimately martial law. I'm just sick of it and I'm done watching mainstream media.
