The online auctions are going WAY high in our area.  Haven't bought one in about 3 months...  Been hitting estate/yard sales for some good finds.

I gotta get out of the office... NEwbies are killing me...  I would have considered my self a newbie compared to some, but after about 30 units or so I cna look at a unit and say, what the ____ is wrong with you people...  That is a box of garbage, those bags have been ripped open, and the tubs are all cracked..  Why would you bid it up over 300$

Happened this week again to me online...  Time to start going to live ones..

Watching auctions yesterday and today...   WOW what people are paying for junk units... Just saw a unit that was  "company unit Items abandoned by tenents"   go for big money...  it was LARGE and Junk...  Trash, broken stuff in it... These people must be high on something... ot spending their tax return on anything... Locally this month mostly junk units all the way around...

Oh well, time to get off my butt and go do the live auctions!!  Not going to get any win's this month online...

Liens...  Cash.. Credit cards...  Fees...    Get over it, you play the game or you don't...  You can always get a prepaid card.. Fees are just a way of life...

I've collected a few of the cable modems, will have to see what I can do there... I might look at it...  As far as I know the property I buy in a storage unit is mine...  Granted it might have been some elses responsibility to return it.. They are the ones on the hook to the cable company..

What do you guys do with Cable and Satallete reciever boxes (DVR's, etc)

The are next to worthless, electronic scrap to me, but if you ever had to buy one they charge a mint for them..   I get them from time to time in units and just wondering...  newer ones have LARGER 1 to 2 gb drives in them...  but seems like a waste to scrap it for just that.

My most useful was a brand new Showtime Rotisserie Over - Was big enough to put a 14lb turkey into for thanksgiving...

I have a really really cool  cheese/salad Shredder/meat grinder that has suction cups to hold it down on the counter.

I agree... Used Adult toys are one thing...  I think if I came across a unit with all the needles etc.. I would just man up... Close the door down on it, and let the facility have it and my deposit..  Unless it was a really nice facility that I have dealt with and got great units at before..   then I might talk to them about burning the unit...

Okay really I wouldn't, I take the business very serious... and you never know what you might find..  I found a few needles and some drugs in one unit... and did very well with the rest of the contents.

I totally realize that...  There was at least one, two, three copies..  and they were nicely packaged copies, Cases, and they had price tags on them.... and a (for DVD's call Ron at 555-5555) (name and number changed to protect the guilty..

For what it's worth.. I have a media server at home that I use, I put my movies in, rip them to it and then they are digitally available anywhere in the house (or mobile if I copy them to my tablet)

The DVD unit I got... Interesting unit...  Started sorting out the DVD's checking cases, etc..

The Person with the unit must have been making copies of them... Because every DVD I found that was a retail verison, almost always had at lease  one or Pirate copy made up..   And I'm talking pretty nice, cases with printed(home printer) covers and plastic sleeves for the covers.  At least the Retail DVDS are all in good shape.  I filled up a trash can with pirate disk and cases.

Anyone else ever run into this???  I run into pirate disks all the time...
