I agree that cars get sold rather quickly during tax refunds season. I had a similar experience previously when my car was put in storage because it was put on sale for too long. Then, I got a few offers and I finally sold it off. I wonder if the property market is affected during the tax refunds season, or not at all?

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: When do YOU cut your losses?

That is kind of freaky what the buyer told you about his purchase. Well, I guess it was just your "luck" that told him to do so. Nevertheless, as for me, I would often wait 3 months if I really need to clear that storage shed. If I just need to get rid of it but not anytime soon, then a year seems fine. It really depends on your situation I guess. I would not cut back on my losses too soon if I do not need that space though.

There are indeed many different kinds of adaptors, but it is not everyday that we simply get rid of them. Well, not for me at least. I usually keep most of the electrical accessories I find lying around whether at home or in storage. Even the last piece of cable would find me tying it up together with the existing bundle that I already have tied up in a rubber band.

Storage Facilities / Re: Self storage and online shops!!

It really depends on the policy of each individual storage facility and whether or not they do provide such services. Some of facility owners refuse to support such activities as they are moving towards the efforts of preventing any illegal live-in renters who take advantage of the situation.

eBay / Re: eBay automatically opens unpaid item case after 3 days

Yes there is indeed an automatic option which you can adjust accordingly from your account settings. Ebay will help you initiate a re-instatement after a certain number of days should the buyer falls under the unpaid item category. However, if you mentioned that the option is not activated then perhaps you should check with Ebay as to why they are proactive on this particular case of yours.

Nobody is in the country around winter to buy things I think. Or they're busy buying brand new items for gifts and presents. Nobody really wants to look at second hand stuff at the end of the year. But don't worry, things will pick up before you know it!

Simpsons often does parodies only of famous celebrities or television shows. Hence, Storage Wars ought to be proud to have achieved such an honour. I have not personally watched this particular episode but I definitely would love to watch the rerun which would definitely be worth my time.

I think the reason Storage Wars is still airing continuously is because of its intense popularity amongst viewers. The main ‘pull’ factor it has is the excitement being evoked when a locker has been successfully won by a bidder. What the audience cannot wait to witness is whether the belongings inside are worth the money spent or has just gone to waste.
