Just ran across this the other, since I am listing items on ebay now.

Does anybody use it?  What's the response like, anybody selling on it?  Looks like a craiglist copycat site, but I do like the way the pics come up in the search and it is free?  But is it worth the time.  I put about 6 things on it the other day I had on craiglist.

Well finally got to do a chain run today for public storage.  I have never been to a storage auction during the week because of my job, but looks like time is gonna start opening up for me.

Well anyways I did not have the whole run of addresses they were doing today. I think it was 8 locations.  But i did get the store lists and auction schedule when I got to the 1st locale.  But of course they didn't put the exact addresses on them, u know like little town locations, just the town.  So went to 1st two and the 3rd one wasn't exactly sure where the hell it was, but I did finally find it, but then they were 2 other locations ahead of me, LMAO.  But i did catch up to them at the last 3 places.  It was fun but didn't buy anything today, next time I am diving in.

As far as the lookie loos i was prob. the one.  There were only about 10 bidders at these and everybody knew everybody, except me, LMAO!!

Pricing seemed cheap to me, from what I have been seeing in the past, went today from $5 for 2 old tvs to $500 for what i would consider a good unit

But it is a run, not advertised or on auctionzip so I may have come across a good run here.

Craigslist / Craigslist just got easier!!

I use craigslist daily, and gotta thank them for finally doing this.

They now keep your pictures stored so you don't have to re post them every time you relist an ad.  This has just cut my time in half on reposting.

TKS CRAIG:)

Craigslist / Craiglist tip
« on: April 04, 2011, 10:36:05 AM »
Here is an important tip no matter what you are selling on craigslist.  Cause I see some of you are talking about slow sales.

Always, and I mean always, after your ad has been on craigslist for 48 hours, delete your ad and relist it.  The purpose of this is to get the ad to top of the category where it is seen again, otherwise it just gets lost pages down, and you will never sell this item.

I been selling used cars on there and been relisting in this fashion for 2 years. Also craiglist will not let you relist before 48 hours, and they will tell you this if you try to delete early.

Hope that helps out a few of you.

Well I am definitely a NOOBIE, gonna break my cherry pretty soon.

My main problem is I can only get to these auctions on Saturdays.  I've been to 2 last couple weeks.  First one a little disappointed because they piece auction everything for $1 to $20, I bought a couple small tools there, spent $8, but damn did that auction move slow.  Over 100 people, took the1 1/2 hours to go thru 1st unit, and had 14 units in that auction.  I stayed 3 hours til they got thru the 1st 5, then I lost my interest.  They had the other lockers open and mainly looked like trash to me.

Today went to another auction down south, they cut the locks off in front of us.  Auction the way we are used to, only thing was 200+ people at this one.  Funny thing was it really didn't seem like prices were to out of line though.  Had 10 units seen one w/garden tools and 2 tires go for $25 and I crammed 10x30 w/someones whole gararge, full of tools and trashcans full of garage stuff, went for $1200, lot of work for $1200 but someone definitely w/make 3x money on that one.  Bidded on a couple but didn't win anything.  One went for $45 w/what looked like a cat pissed on couch, but there was 6 uhaul boxes closed in the back, my whole drive back wandering what was in those boxes, but did not want that nasty couch.
