I love reading feel good stories like this. I know that a lot of us on the channel would probably do the same too - it's simple human courtesy and compassion isn't it? Except we never would catch the attention of the media while doing it haha! Either way, I hope that I don't find the remains of anyone in any self storage unit I buy!

I agree with @alloro here. Honestly speaking, if it boils down to which site we should be using to sell our junk, I would honestly tell people to use all of them so that it maximises your potential. For us that buy into all these auctions, we're going to go into all the different sites ourselves to make sure that we pick out the best stuff too.

What's it Worth?? / Re: From a newbie about what might be a good buy

I would suggest that you play it safe as well. If you think you've got a lot of money to blow then sure, why not gamble a little? I also wouldn't be too bothered with units that are too neat. Chances are that the previous owner was good at cataloguing their things and kept all the precious stuff in a much safer and secured place than a storage unit - perhaps a safe deposit box. Haha!

Weird & Wacky Finds / Re: 8/12/15: Teen finds one-pound GOLD BAR in Lake

What an honest girl - her parents definitely brought her up right! I would've kept the bar for myself though. I mean, cash it in or something, it could easily take care of some of the big bills that I've got looming over my head what with my wedding coming up! Haha! But of course the right thing to do would be to turn it over to the police. Who knows whether it ends up being some sort of blood money or something in the end!

Weird & Wacky Finds / Re: My unusual Urn story
« on: September 11, 2015, 09:15:24 PM »
I don't like knowing that there are human remains in my self storage units, whether in an urn or otherwise. It just gives me the heebie-jeebies! And I think that the area around self storage units can get pretty creepy in the middle of the night too. One of the other reasons why I need to make sure that I get home when the office hours are up. No way I want to be around in the middle of the night.

Legal Issues / Re: Online Storage Auctions Now Legal in Missouri

I think the rules in Australia are slightly different. They really should do a season of storage wars down under some time haha! But to address the topic, I think as long as you make sure you've done your proper due diligence and announcements, it's pretty much okay to go right?

eBay / Re: What's the worst feedback you've ever read on eBay?
« on: July 02, 2015, 10:19:08 PM »
Lots of angst on this forum thread.. Anyway, I don't have samples of bad feedback on eBay to share. I kinda just read 'em and right them off. Best not to hold in all that bad blood. Part and parcel of doing things anyway. Sometimes you just don't make deadlines and you happen to be dealing with an ass who doesn't cut you slack.

I honestly think that when it comes to cloud storage, people are going to find a way to sniff out the simplest and easiest application to use that comes with the lowest price, or no price tag at all! People are smart.
