my trash pickup will pick up any household items, like old matresses, couches, refrigerators, etc.  One heavy pickup per month but they definitely take them, they don't take construction material or electronics or toxic things obviously.  But peed on matresses no problem!

Whole show is scripted, trying to make a storage show like operation repo.  Plenty of hooping and hollerin' to get attentiion and of course fighting.  Worst storage show out there, hard to believe but the did worse than auction hunters.

It is a decent show, but i see them dumping alot of small collectibles, they could get top dollar on ebay for.

And Last nite, watched a episode, selling $2000 chairs, whoa not at my local flea market, maybe $25 chairs, LOL!!  But I am not in NYC LOL!

Craigslist / Re: Craigslist just got easier!!

They did it again, making it easier.

They just added a RENEW button on the ads, so after 48 hours, you click one button and back to the top of the list.

Also seeing they are now listing pics next to the ads you are searching.

Between them and ebay, made a pretty good living lately, Tks Craig

Went on a run of auctions yesterday, these were listed on auction zip

About 30 people at the first few auctions, and only 6 at the last auction.

Prices seemed to be a little higher than what I have normally seen around here.  I did run into something on this run I hadn't encountered before,  the auctionneer, had his 25 yr old son bidding on units.  One guy told me half way thru the run who was bidding against me, kinda pissed me off. But I guess you encounter all types in the biz.

eBay / Ebay Classifieds

Just ran across this the other, since I am listing items on ebay now.

Does anybody use it?  What's the response like, anybody selling on it?  Looks like a craiglist copycat site, but I do like the way the pics come up in the search and it is free?  But is it worth the time.  I put about 6 things on it the other day I had on craiglist.

Went to an independant location today, it was on auctionzip, had ab`0ut 20 bidders, only 3 units available.

1st unit was preschool toys, several trash bags of clothes went for $140

2nd unit was a 10x20  tools, 2-6ft tables stacked on top of each other and tools stacked on them like they were shelves.  Floor scrubber and looked like a pretty old chest, and a hell of a lot of dust.  I was pissed cause I tried to buy it but went for $445, only had 300 on me, cause I stopped at an atm to get money off my paypal card and the damn thing wouldn't work. So short on cash.

3rd unit was 10x15 somebody ransacked and took out everything of value, they was mcdonalds trash on the floor and a couple broken tables, i didn't see what it went for, everybody just walked away when they seen it.

Well finally got to do a chain run today for public storage.  I have never been to a storage auction during the week because of my job, but looks like time is gonna start opening up for me.

Well anyways I did not have the whole run of addresses they were doing today. I think it was 8 locations.  But i did get the store lists and auction schedule when I got to the 1st locale.  But of course they didn't put the exact addresses on them, u know like little town locations, just the town.  So went to 1st two and the 3rd one wasn't exactly sure where the hell it was, but I did finally find it, but then they were 2 other locations ahead of me, LMAO.  But i did catch up to them at the last 3 places.  It was fun but didn't buy anything today, next time I am diving in.

As far as the lookie loos i was prob. the one.  There were only about 10 bidders at these and everybody knew everybody, except me, LMAO!!

Pricing seemed cheap to me, from what I have been seeing in the past, went today from $5 for 2 old tvs to $500 for what i would consider a good unit

But it is a run, not advertised or on auctionzip so I may have come across a good run here.

it dropped about $9 an ounce this week.  Mainly I think it was over the bin laden killing, and I feel it will bounce right back within a week or too.  I have actually been looking at the ebay ads, and they are all selling above spot price right now.

Here is a great website to follow for up to date metail coin values:  coinflation.com  they usually update about 6x a day. True market values.

I try not letting the price get to me, but it does piss me off, because I live in the midwest and we seem to have the highest gas prices in the country. It is has been at 4.29 for about a week now, new record here, and from what i am seeing it is at least 50 cents cheaper on the west coast.

Craigslist for me is rare for auctions, it is good for yard sales and estate sales.

Anymore all local newspapers are online, just go to one of them and click on the classified section and do a keyword search for auctions, it will pop up a list.

Movieman,

Nothing personal dude, but I really was just making a statement about how great Craiglist was doing to finally let us list pictures on their server for free.  I understand where u are coming from but the ads I have seen with full page pics load too slow, and I think 4 small pics is more than enuff to sell my item.  Nothing personal man, but u seem to be the expert on every subject in this forum, and from my experience. most people that think they are that smart, well u know. I am here to learn and contribute to subjects i know about.  Well I am glad we have a spam police on here, but i am trying to help out.
