The fact is - We provide a quality service to all storage auction buyers, regardless of their skill level.

The website you used to pull up auctions for our area only listed large storage facility chains.
I don't know where you saw the information claiming to have 1100 auctions in the Houston area. The entire state of Texas might have 1100 auctions per month. Our coverage area is 60 miles in all directions from downtown Houston. We call every facility in town (all 1400) and we average about 300 auctions every month.

Even the largest auction list in California list about 800 auctions per month for the entire state.

Bottom line, when I was asked to provide our company's sample list of the auctions in the Houston area, I did, and it was so large that it crashed the server. I think that speaks for itself.

No, that picture is actually of a very large "Saturday Auction", (one month after the storage shows premiered) I think there was almost a hundred people there. Good point though, I will look into finding another photo. At least I'm being "post storage auction reality show realistic" and not sugar coating my images.

Have you seen the storage auction information services that have photos of treasure chests full of gold, stacks of cash and shiny European automobiles?

Mr Anderson...once again, every city is different. You may know where every facility is in your area of Memphis
but imagine if you expanded Memphis 8 times in area. Do you still think you could keep track of all of the smaller independent facilities? Chances are though, no matter how good the newspapers are in your area, some auctions are still falling through the cracks.

Here is an example of a typical week in Houston. However, sometimes we have over 40 facilities having an auction in the same day. On just one Public Storage or U-Haul run, you might be able to look at over 80 units in a 12 hour period. 

I see your point. But imagine if you were watching a movie and and the actor was drinking a Coke. The camera zooms in and you see the label clearly. We all know that Coke probably paid to have that endorsement. Now, think how silly it would look if they zoomed in on the can and it plainly said "SODA" or "LIME DRINK". It would look weird wouldn't it? Some type of beverage was going to be used in that scene anyway, why hate on  Coke for trying to promote their business? I don't get mad when when I see a bread truck with an advertisement on it drive by me.
Some advertisements & commercials are even entertaining.

You can't get mad at the TV networks for playing commercials, if it wasn't for the commercials, there would be no free TV. As a matter of fact, every now and then, I am glad to see a commercial, especially if it promotes a product that I can benefit from. Surely, someone has seen my URL in one of my posts and found our website to be informative. If nothing else, to rip off our domain name. (This actually happened last week.)

I have read some posts on this blog that were just plain spam. They have catchy titles, you click on the post and its just a web address with some lame statement. These people are clearly detracting from the content because they don't contribute anything to making this forum more informative.

I have included my URL in most of my posts; however, I try to be respectful to everyone, contribute to the well being of this forum and offer my insight on interesting subjects.

The point is that we are all exposed to hundreds of advertisements every day, either consciously or unconsciously.
If the advertisement blends into the content and doesn't detract from the viewer's overall experience, what is the big deal?

Sorry about that...LOL, I was wondering when someone was going to call me out. All kidding aside, I use my business, (here I go again!) Auctions Texas  as an example in a lot of the topics that I write about. Not that I don't appreciate the links, I do. It's not my intention to spam and I hope it doesn't come across that way. When I write about certain subjects, I like the reader to know where I am coming from, especially since a lot of the topics that I contribute on could only be explained by telling the reader how I got the information. Some facts could only be provided by someone who operates a storage auction information website.

Not all my posts have a link in them....... some have two or three. LOL   

Seriously though, I will try to leave the URL's out whenever possible.
