Gentlemen, Gentlemen.............can we at least act like Business men on this forum and respect one another. We would like to help Drew grow this forum not chase people away!

LOL Movieman my wife is always seeing something that she thinks I should keep and 9 times out 10 I'll look at it and say yeah I think I will. Then when push comes to shove I'll sell it for the right price to one of my buddies that wants it. However you are correct about oil, select tools, a gun would be a no brainer.

The only thing I will hold on too for very long is Old Wood Furniture, I have found I get a much better price on it if it has been refinished. And wait , wait , here it comes............Bagless Vacuums!!! Yes that's right Bagless Vacuums, I will take them apart and clean them stem to stern and I can get any where between $45- $165 depending on the make and model. By far the easist to work on are Bissell's so don't ignore those nasty bagless vacuums.

Instruments sale quickly here.

Least amount I have paid is $15 and the most was $410 on a lkr I bought this past Saturday. Going to have to do some work to make money on this unit!

My wife loves to keep the household cleaners and anything else that she can use with out going to the store to purchase.

38
My neck of the woods it's generally $40, with a few places that ask $50.

39
I just tried the link and checked out the for sale section in the area I live in. Everything from knives, couches, washer n dryers, vacuums, lamps, etc. etc.

Could work out for home furnishings? We'll see?!

I don't use a auction list, as I find the listings in the news papers, on Craigslist, and word of mouth ( friends in different towns that let me know about storage auctions).

Also if the Storage Facility has a phone list or email list I'll get on there list and they contact me that way. Email list seem to be the most prominent way for the Storage Facilities.

Reality Shows about Storage Auctions / Re: Auction Hunters is FAKE!!!
« on: April 21, 2011, 11:56:30 AM »

I'm sure there have been one or two but I don't believe I've ever seen a bust unit on storage wars. I know a few have looked to be a bust and then they pull out an 1800 dollar vase at the last second but can't recall a total bust unit.

Humm you may want to pay a little bit closer attention to the Show, as Barry regularly loses money on his lockers and they have shown all of them losing money on their lockers.

Auction Hunters? I will agree they only show the great lockers and it is not too close to reality, however Storage Wars seems to be a bit more real. JMO!!!!!

One of the lookey loos doesn't seem to be too interested. LOL

Once you find an Auction you can always ask the Storage Unit owner if the have a call list or email list they can put you on. It works well for future Auctions, as I just received an email for an Auction this Saturday with 15 units at least for now. We all know how the list of units can dwindle down by Auction day LOL.

New to Storage Auctions? / Re: Auctions in bad weather?
« on: April 19, 2011, 06:28:12 PM »

What I HAVE seen though is when some new person buys a big locker on a nice 100+ day that they sometimes back down in future summer auctions after they've been working in the stifling heat of an enclosed locker for a couple of days.

Movieman that holds very true here in our 100+ days we have here in the Valley, get inside a locker with little or no air movement and that heat intensifies doesn't it?
