« on: March 16, 2012, 04:46:01 PM »
ok so i have been out of the buyer area for a while now. its been about 5 months maybe longer i forget. im in a new area used to be in michigan now i am in arizona phoenix area. just wondering if things have changed... have prices gone down? has anything changed in this business that would be a good thing to learn about now?

also as bad as this sounds i forgot how to get a clientele built up. i am in a completely new city new way of living and it seems everything i once knew i have forgot once i moved over 2k miles. so if yall can help out that would be great.

also a couple more things. i have no where to store anything since i live in a small studio apartment.so would it be smart to rent a storage unit and also since i dont have a truck but a small car to haul things should i just get a uhaul when i buy a unit or what should i look into doing? thanks for any and all answers

Nice...450 doesnt seem that high from the looks of the unit. I was curious cause ive been lookin for 10x20's or 10x30's but dont seem to be finding any. The last one I ran across went for 380.

Good luck

The Lounge / Re: Need a little advice

From what he said I would be pricing everything selling everything basically doing all the work and he would be giving me things now and then. Plus with storage auctions he just wants a cut of the profit.

The Lounge / Need a little advice

So ad I posted before my new job is cleaning out forclosed homes and such. Well talking to my boss he mentioned he would love to have someone that could sell all the valuable items from these plaves via CL ebay flea markets or anyway possible to make him some more money and the person selling of course. I was thinking about asking if I could go to flea markets and such to sell the items from these places plus all the stuff he has accumulated and doesnt have time to sell while being on the clock or saying I just want a set wage for each week for doing this for him. I also mentionef doing storage auctions and he said he was interested in me doing them for him and getting a cut of the profit.

I guess my question is is should I talk to him about doing this and the days I dont do flea markets working on scraping or doing trash outs for him.

Any advice would be welcome as im a bit lost as to what to do. I guess im to nice of a guy and just want to help others out and if I can make a few bucks on top of my actual pay and helpin th him out with more income im all for it. Plus I like flea markets make a lot of new friends that way.

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: Craftsman Tools
« on: October 07, 2011, 08:52:23 PM »
I sell craftsman tools and honestly now that I figured a good price to sell them at they sell fast in any kind of condition. Just keep in mind the vintage/antique craftsman tools are highly collectable and people will pay more for them since they will probably never use them.

Few days ago at a flea market I sold a couple broken craftsman sockets for 2 dollars each.

Try taking to the local landfill. Also bag up some trash and put it in your weekly trash pick up. Thats how I got rid of all my trash. Took a couple weeks but its gone. Dont know if where you live allows this but here in the country we burn trash. The metal cans and such is target practice but rest is warmth.

What's it Worth?? / Re: Fire extinguisher and radio shack computer
« on: October 06, 2011, 06:27:45 PM »
I looked on ebay and that was the wrong one. That was a model 4-c. I tried google and couldnt find it either. My only source of internet is my phone and thats sketchy at best. I will try to keep looking but I might have to take to an antique dealer or of the like when I got time.

Ok so my phone wont let me upload pics which is ticking me off but anyways... I was cleaning out a house today and found a fire extinguisher that said last tested in 1964 was wondering if anyone knew a value. I cant remember the brand but its in perfect condition with all tags.

Also I found a 1982 radio shack computer has everything with it including wires and all books and cassettes.

Are these items worth keeping or should I just sell cheap to get rid of? The fire extinguisher I was thinking would be worth at least 75.

Will let yall know the brand in a later post once I dig it out of my truck.

Well im not worried if it was half of retail or not. All I care is that its gone and I got some more jingle in my pocket. Plus I can honestly say now I have gotten between 2-6 times my money back on all my units so far and still have a tun to sell. Even more after we get done cleaning out the forclosure today.

Well after I quit my job as a milker I went and got a job cleaning out forclosers. Talked to the boss about keeping items. he said as long as I split the money on them theres no problem. Well today got a chest/bench, 2 chairs, old antique tins, mini shop vac, name brand clothes ( mudd, and others) tuns of toys few antique gas cans and tuns of other stuff. Im lookin at easily making a few hundred off these items in the city. Plus I still get paid. Cant beat double dippin in the book and free gas for jobs. Still lookin for auctions but waiting on some paychecks for the big lkrs.
