Online Storage Auctions / Storage Battles Makes Huge Security Blunder
« on: November 10, 2014, 01:12:32 PM »
I got an email from Storage Battles that said, hey we ported your account over to storagetreasures.com - Please log in with your email address and the password of "Storagebattles", and you can change your password if you want.

That just rings of security and privacy issues.  If you knew your friends email address, I bet you could of easily logged into their account, and changed their password :/

Just wondering, if the facilities have a key to the cars on their lot for safety reason and if you buy a car, will it come with a key.

I am excited to report that I have apparently been successful at “getting through” to some of the key decision makers from both our Museum of Art, our Museum of Peoples & Cultures, and our Philanthropic-giving/receiving branch.  On Monday afternoon, I will be meeting with all of the above (in two separate meetings) with the desired outcome being “next-steps” identified.  I can tell you that the interest level is extremely high.  If we need to get you into our meeting via phone, will you be available at 4 pm your time?

The person we are needing to meet with re: the textiles…Paul, has a tentative schedule, since his wife is due to deliver a baby any minute now, but we’re still trying to coordinate everyone’s schedules.  The 2 pm meeting (4 – your time) is with our Museum of Art folks.

I’ll talk to you Monday mid-morning, either way, re: hope things are looking.  Hope that helps.  I am very sorry things have moved so slowly.  Take care.

I'm still working it - I really hope these donations go through and I won't ever have to pay taxes again :)

I sold a like new Samsonite Carry On Luggage Bag, like most carry on's, it comes with multiple compartments to put your items into.

My description read.

This Samsonite bag is in LIKE NEW condition, it's very clean as you can see in the photo's.

It measures..

 18 inches wide
 12 inches tall
   7 inches deep.

It has many pockets and zippered openings as seen in the photo's a really comfortable premium shoulder strap and Handle..

Weights approximately 3.5 lbs empty.

You would think it will be in their best interest to show your merchandise to as many viewers as possible to sell it.

You can see the person taking the photo's are manipulating the items and touching items that do not belong to them yet.

Suggestion Center / How about a new Board for Donation Information
« on: June 28, 2014, 10:17:08 PM »
I wouldn't mind seeing a donation section..

There's lot to consider when you donate items.

I was wondering what the process was...

 1) Certified appraisal account to the IRS documentation.
 2) Donated to a Specific charity that qualifies for 50% reduction to your AGI.

What else is needed? I know it just can't be that simple..

General Storage Auction Talk / What am I missing..
« on: June 17, 2014, 03:33:29 PM »
I really don't see the value in this locker to warrant the current bid.

I like that it's all neat and stuff, but a pressure washer, some decent shelving, plenty of plastic bins (If you can take it back), used clothes, cheap bike, used old electronics, possible blue ray player and Christmas supplies just don't seem to warrant it.

eBay / Ebay Screws Non Store Owners..
« on: May 07, 2014, 12:20:52 PM »
http://announcements.ebay.com/2014/04/sellers-updates-to-fees-in-select-categories-could-mean-more-free-listings-for-you/

Millions of buyers come to eBay every day, in search of great deals available only on eBay. And for many sellers—like those without an eBay Stores subscription—auction-style listings are the best way to sell in popular categories like Fashion and Collectibles & Art. To keep our buyers engaged, and to help ensure that new sellers and those who sell occasionally have the best opportunity to succeed, we will be making some updates to the standard fee structure (fees for sellers without an eBay Stores subscription).

The following changes will take effect on May 15, 2014 at 00:01 AM PT:

If you do not subscribe to an eBay Store, you’ll enjoy up to 100 FREE listings*—pay no insertion fees—every month.
50 of these will be dedicated auction-style listings, which can be used only in the categories listed below. There will no longer be an allotment of free fixed price listings for items listed in these 14 categories, unless you subscribe to an eBay Store.

You’ll also receive 50 free listings* which can either be additional auction-style listings in the categories listed below, or auction-style or fixed price listings in most other categories.
The standard insertion fee for fixed price listings in the categories listed below will be 30¢ per listing. Note: This 30¢ per listing charge will apply to Good ‘Til Cancelled listings that renew on or after May 15, 2014.

As before, you’ll be able to add Buy It Now FREE to your free auction-style listings, or Best Offer for FREE to your free fixed price listings.

The current fee structure for eBay Stores sellers is NOT changing—eBay Stores subscribers will still get the same number of free auction-style or fixed price listings they get today in any category, including the categories listed below.
The following categories are affected by this update, and will no longer be eligible for free fixed price listings* to sellers without an eBay Stores subscription:

Antiques
Art
Baby
Clothing, Shoes & Accessories
Coins & Paper Money
Collectibles
Dolls & Bears
Entertainment Memorabilia
Health & Beauty
Jewelry & Watches
Pottery & Glass
Sports Memorabilia, Cards & Fan Shop
Stamps
Toys & Hobbies

If you prefer to list in the fixed price format in the categories listed, you can still do so for the 30¢ insertion fee mentioned above. Or you can consider a Basic eBay Stores subscription for just $19.95 a month, or $15.95 a month with a yearly commitment. With a Basic eBay Stores subscription, you’ll get 150 free listings*—auction-style or fixed price—every month, final value fees of 9% or less in the categories listed above, and access to a wealth of marketing tools to help supercharge your sales. Learn more.

We believe that this update will make selling on eBay even more profitable for you. And—as always—thank you for being a part of the eBay community.
