The average here seems to be 48 hours, and sometimes longer if it's a bigger unit (having different lengths based on the size and quantity in the unit).

Here, it doesn't look like any of the places I've been to have rules about children. I've seen everything from babes in arms to teenagers at the auctions, although I've never seen a teenager bid and there might be some legalities about being a certain age to bid here. I haven't taken my kids, though, because they would annoy the heck out of me and I would be less effective.

I do buy. What kinds of prices are you putting on the games? Is it at yard sales you are trying to buy them?

Incomplete games are definitely scary and it's one of those things I have to be careful of. If I'm buying a ton of games, I don't stand there and count pieces, so I have to get them really cheap. If I'm only buying one or two, I'll check them for completeness.

Do you have a sampling of the names of the games you are holding onto?

After doing a lot of thinking, I can make more money hitting up the thrift stores and buying items from them and going to the few yard sales that there are going to be that weekend, and be a lot less frustrated with people, than if I went to Black Friday sales. So the value just isn't there for me.

Thought I'd post my observations and see if anyone out there has any of their own.

My personal observations are that right before the 1st and 15th, sales seem to slow down for a couple of days then pick back up right after those dates. Also, Election Night is a bad night to end auctions on.

Another thing I note is that Sunday nights seem to be a great night to end auctions on.

Any observations y'all want to add?

If the Battleship is in mint condition, from 1998, complete, it's worth anywhere from $10-15. More if you can sell it locally and not have to ship it. The Aggravation from 1982 is a little more valuable. The condition is a little more lenient since it's got more age on it. Without pictures or seeing it myself, it's hard to say exactly how much. If the box is damaged, I'd say it's worth about $15. If the damage is just normal shelf wear, you can probably get $25 for it.

Feel free to post pictures and I can rate the condition for ya. Older games are bought by collectors, and they are super picky, condition really matters.

It's just silly. 41% of Texas voted for Obama. Of the remaining 59% that voted for Romney, I would wager 49% of these people would think secession is really stupid. These petitions are nothing more than sour grapes from the part of the Republican party that the Republican party wished didn't exist, other than the fact that this base is pretty  much the only reason they sometimes win.
