Ok just a small update. The 73" 3D DLP tv I got a few weeks back works great!!!! IF I sale it I'm thinking $500 - $700 for it!!!

Now the finds in the 5 units I got in 2/07/2015. 1) had some nice electronics with a complete Bose system. A Minolta 35mm with 2 large lenses. A lodge red enamel cast iron pot with lid not used. Unit cost $55.00
2) a Eddie Bauer bassinet.  A hand made Moses cradle (really nice) some nice wood kids chairs 2 bed frames. A pressboard entertainment center. ( if I can't get $10.00 on that I will get my baseball bat out and have some fun) unit cost $30.00
3) a nice sofa table with ball and claw feet. A small desk. An 8 track and cassette player with 8 track tapes. 36 DVDs. Unit cost $30.00
4) a upright player paino with a few good items to sale. Unit cost $5.00
5) sweet furniture unit. A repo. Roll top desk. An armoire great condition. A dresser and a night stand all wood. A antique trunk from R. H. John Galveston trunk company.  (Without the tray :-(    ). Unit cost $200.00

I think I will make a sweet return on these units.

Hi all sorry I haven't posted lately.  Well went out and hit a storage auction today 2/07.   I ended up getting 4 small units and 1 semi large one that has a roll top desk in great condition.  I haven't got to look thru them today but will go process them tomorrow and will let y'all know what I find.

Ok I'm back.  Most of the lockers were going WAY to high. But I did manage to snag me 1 unit out of 11.
I paid $275.  So far I found a remote control helicopter almost new condition (but it has been use)with a price tag of $139.99 on the box.  Over 100 DVDs good titles.  A nice medium size breakfast table with 2 chairs great condition.  An entertainment center (press board). But still looks in mint condition. I might get $50 at the auction on it. A key board but really haven't looked at it just yet.    I will go tonight and work on the unit and let y'all know what else I find.   I think so far I should be able to get $600 or more but won't know until the auction is over this Friday. Will post later total income.   Ooh and there is looks to be about a 65" DLP tv I hope it works!!!

Alright y'all I'm going to heading to an auction this morning. I'll post if I get anything and/or what the lockers are going for.   It shows 22 units but I bet there will only be 2-4 by the time I get there.

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: Should children be allowed at auctions?
« on: February 03, 2015, 12:09:18 PM »
Ok I've been to them with kids what gets me is the parents aren't bidding and the kids are coming up to look inside. why they aren't going to bid so why hold up the line for the really buyers that want the locker.
But most of the time the kids are good and quite so it don't bother me that much and I know I will have my chance to look.  What bugs me is the ones with babies not dressed for the type of weather.
At the auction house I work at we have a few kids that come but they are well behaved.

:96: I tried to help a friend with paying him to help but he either kept wanting the items or wasn't available when I needed him. So I find it is so much easier to work the locker by myself.
This way I don't have to ask are you sure you looked thru that paperwork really good and there isn't any gift cards or cash???        :96:

I found $44.68 in a $5.00 unit.   2) 20 dollar bills and a dollar coin.

My last unit that I paid $55 for had $10.09 all pennies

Does it bother anybody else that the smileys have arms but no feet? Freaky!

I will look for some Prosthetic legs for them in my lockers I get

Well I am strange of course you MUST be to be in this business. Lol.   But yes uranium glass is the same as vaseline glass. I have a somewhat large collection but would love to come across a locker one of these days with a nice collection in it that would make my day!!!

I got a very interesting locker last week. I started going thru the unit and found it was FULL of NOS new old stock from k-mart and sears. Back from the 1970's I found so far 6 pair of wranglers new with the tags still on them in mint condition!!!   Found a thermos cooler still in the shipping box!  4 pair of LEE blue jeans with tags.   This was like a time capsule and I'm having a blast going thru this unit I don't want it to end!! Wish y'all could see these old prices on theses items the price stickers still are on almost all the items. Wow how inflation creeps up on you.

Price I paid for the unit a big whooping $55.00!!!   I have sold just a small part of it at auction already and got over $500 after their percentage.

Hi all. My name is Michael I am 46 I do have a full time job but wanted to start a new chapter in my life. I'm semi new to the storage auction business.   I have bought a few during the past few years but now this year I'm really going out and buying units.   I started late last year and got the bug really bad!!!   I am a licensed auctioneer in Texas and wanted to help a friends auction house get kicked off so I went out and picked up a few units and WOW!!   I hit some good ones right off the bat. I will put those finds in the right forum later.  Me and my wife had a resale shop and was buying things at the auction house that I work at on the weekend and thought "hey they are getting this stuff from the storage auctions why can't i do the same"  and take what I find to auction and make a few bucks.  We had to close down the resale shop due to my mothers condition so almost all my find will go to an auction house.    Ok so sorry for the long post
