Title: Pay to play
Post by: che85mor on March 29, 2012, 10:00:13 PM
Wife heard it at an auction today. More auctioneers are talking about the fee to view the lockers in hopes of killing off the looky loo's. Well I talked to the facility owner on my way out after clearing out the locker she won and dropped the whole "fee refunded/exempt if you buy/have bought in the past" bug in her ear and she loved the idea.

So if they are going to do it, at least hopefully this way will keep regulars and buyers from having to pay.

It's all going to depend on the fee really.  We all debated the merits of this in a long thread a few months back.  Myself - I don't really like the idea too much.  Even if I would be exempt at many places if they do the "bought a unit before" bit.  Too cumbersome and time-consuming for the company to keep track of who is who.  Time will tell.
