According to Spike, Auction Hunters will be renewed for Season 5 featuring 20 more episodes.

The show is still averaging 1.5 million viewers per episode.

I think the draw with this show is not with the auctions, but rather what they do after. Like when Ton shoots his guns or blows things up or when Allen rides or flies odd things like the jet pack.

People want entertainment. I could write 10 articles about how storage auctions work and one article about Barry Weiss, and the Barry Weiss article would get more traffic than the other 10 articles.

Tell me this is some sort of joke. What does the entertainment industry consider unscripted/non-scripted?

You're confusing unscripted with staged. By unscripted they mean just that, there is no script for the show.
