Well, looks like Dave Hester has followed through with his aspiration to become an auctioneer.
His YUUUP! clothing has been replaced with a badge that says DaveHesterAuctioneer.com
In the following article Hester claims to be auctioneering at 10-15 facilities a week. Unfortunately, when you visit his new website, the schedule only shows that 2 facilities for June. But hey, everybody has to start somewhere. http://davehesterauctioneer.com/category/daves-auctioneering-schedule/

As of 5:45 am on Wednesday, 6/5/13 he had three auctions showing and they were spread between central and southern California. He's moving around to get started and obviously his personal presence WOULD be a draw for a crowd, but if he does get up to 10/15 a week he would have to bring in some help to cover the state (or states).
Can't fault the guy for making a success of his personality on the show and beyond (whether one likes him or hates him). On the other hand it must be hard giving up that big stipend for doing each show.

I definitely think he could draw in the crowds. He just needs more clients. Shouldn't take him very long to find storage facilities to give him a chance, being a celebrity and all.
