I hope you're right !  No news on new episodes of Texas, BUT the original Storage Wars starts a new 3rd season in June, 2012 AND THEY ARE THE POPULAR ONES.  >:(

I think the population in general hits the reruns of the original SW just periodically, but if they get interested they probably seek out other episodes, and if they get wind of the new season it might generate some more newbies.

Not to disappoint anyone, but they're still filming episodes.  Went to an auction in Cedar Hill TX on Friday and they were there.  I had mixed feelings as the lockers went for too much, but enjoyed watching how they filmed the show.  BTW Bubba is a hell of a nice guy.  Genuine

This was talked about a year ago.  Do you have recent information?  At least the accents would be different.

edit: Wiki, that online encyclopedia that member ALAB thinks is suitable only for 8th graders, has quite a bit of info about Storage Wars and the spinoffs.

Speaking of SWT, I recently saw the 6' chainsaw episode again. All I can say is OMG, who the heck edited that episode? Pay attention when Jerry is installing the bar in the back of the truck. First it's a 4' bar with the word Stihl upside down, then it's a 6' bar with Stihl right side up, then it's a 4' bar with the word Stihl upside down again, then it's a 6' bar with Stihl right side up again. I didn't notice all of the the first time I saw it.

How about storage wars usa. Wait thats what the AH show is about. Or Storage wars 30 towns in 30 days. Besides the quote unusal finds isnt the show as predicalble as watching a garge door open and close each time the button is push. Even that can be more entertaining at times

I dare you to take a black light to that matress next time you get one.  My wife has her masters in forensic and various equipment at home.  Some things just make you go "ummmmmmm".
