Why can't I just get a unit that does not have someones grown up "toys" in it! Its gross! Time for the rubber gloves! Almost every unit I get has something or the other of this nature! When will it stop!?!?! please?

Actually, it has nothing to do with the world we live in now. Just recently, a very upscale, high-end, auction was being held and one of the items was an ANTIQUE *****!
Just a little history for you... do a search for ancient Greece or take a look at the relics of Pompeii. You'll find that such things were just as popular then, as they are now.
As far as finding such things in storage unit purchases, keep in mind... you're buying the assets of someone else's life. Keep an eye out for those nice urns, too! When you take the lid off and look inside, THAT'S NOT DIRT! It's the ashes of someone's loved one. I hope you do the right thing and try to return it to the original owner.

While waiting to take a turn viewing a bin, I began chatting with another tenant who happened to be in her locker on auction day. AS i was talking to he I came to realize that just past an inventory of rolled posters was a whole wall of plastic drawers. Ceiling to floor 10' wide. In each of the drawers was a different variety of condom. Then I saw a wall lined with boxes that read "Adult DVD". No telling what was on the posters.
Apparently this unit was rented by the local porn distributer!
Never know what you'll see in these units.

Stuff like that can be sold for good money.
The porn distributor unit, you can make good money on. There are plenty og people out there collecting these things.
And it is like they say SEX SELLS!
Take it the stuff to an adult store and they will most likely take the good stuff off your hands.
Condoms are not worth anything, but posters,dvd's and new stuff that are wrapped in original packing should be ok.

I found a giant toy once. It was about 2 feet long and 3" in diameter. Had to call the HazMat team on that one!
At the flea Mkt where I sell a fellow buyer had gotten a new in the box device shaped like "a saddle" with a male member sticking straight up. He sold it to one of the big eBay sellers for $300. When the new owner sold it for $1200 on eBay the original seller said (in effect)..."you give me another hundred or you'll never buy anything from me again." The new owner coughed it up.

REcently bought a unit that had boxes of files and office supplies. In a file cabinet there was a file marked "personal records". In this file were pictures of the renters girlfriend. I say girlfriend because this woman was certainly not the same woman in the wedding pictures in the box marked "Desktop items".

Ah, the irony ! Welcome to the forums too....nice to see you bought some lockers before joining in on the conversation....highly recommended practice for new buyers. Given the approximately 900 lurkers who haven't posted yet, we can expect more newcomers to start chiming in.
