-or-

Does that smiley face mean you WENT to an auction?

Well Drew he has a tiny cross in his signature block.

Maybe he is praying that his good fortune in finding all that drug money won't lead to serious consequences.
I know he can write because I have seen his other posts.

Drew, is this Central Florida Storage Auctions your site too?  Do you really think you have auctions listed that I wont easily find elsewhere on the list?  If you honestly say you think that you do, I'll try it for a month for the $13

Please let me know

Thx

OK Jose, we're starting to worry about you. If you are being held hostage and can't say anything, just
put up a smiley sticking out his tongue. Do that and we'll know to send the storage cops.

Otherwise, I think communications is going to stop....the mime routine only works for so long.

Jose: just start a new message. Type something. Don't fiddle with the smileys.

If you are reading this message, just click on the reply button toward the bottom; you might have to scroll down on the right to see that. That will put you into a new blank message box.
Don't try to modify any of your old messages.

Okay I apologized for the previous posts with the smileys, I was using my phone and the whole post will be erased and just post the smileys....
But here is how it went....my first auction...well it was actually 2 auctions....1 in Channelview (just outside of Houston, 15 mins from my house) and 1 in Baytown (about 30 mins from my house, but 15 from where I was in Channelview)

The one in Channelview was at 10:30, I got there and saw about 15 people outside but soon another 15 people came, in total I think there was about 35 - 40 people there, the units in my opinion were pretty much garbage, nothing I really wanted to bid on, the ones that looked sort of good were going for over 200.00 thats more than what I wanted to spend. There was a total of about 13 units, 2 of them were under 100.00 on2 had a recliner and bags of clothes and I think a fishing rod in the back, went for 45.00 and another that had about 5 bags of clothes (I think) it went for 65.00. The auction was over by 11:45, and I was told by others of the other auction in Baytown, so I decided to go to that one as well...

Baytown, 12:30 start....I get there and see about 30 cars outside and I am thinking what the heck, there's about 50 people there, and the bids were higher here but in my opinion a little bit better stuff, one had a scooter but it was taken a part a bit, it went for 375.00 and the last one had a hoveraround it went for 400.00.

All in all I think it was a good experience I didnt buy anything, didnt even bid, but I am just waiting my turn, I get something.

Cool stuff, you got your feet wet, all you have to do now is to get some units under your belt.

Here is an advise to you, if you are waiting to bid until you see something you like from the gate, you will never get a unit.
Because, if you like it, then everyone else like it. And you end up in a bidding war. Another thing is, you will never see a unit where you go WOW! damn i want this, and it is all gold and silver and cars........etc

You have to gamble, get a few units based on what you see, even if it means that you only like one or two things in there.

Another advise is, when you are new, go for the 5x10 or 10x10 units, and start to build up experience.
I tell you, i have found alot of nice stuff in 5x10 and 10x10 units. Infact my best locker ever was a 7x10 locker.

Hey Jose, good to see you are going to get to an auction. Please be sure to let us know about the crowds, lkr numbers and of course ESPECIALLY the prices so we can get a cross-the-country idea of what's happening.
