Top 10 Self Storage Companies in the United States

I believe we have discussed who the largest storage companies were in our areas but here are the official results.
You would think that these top ten chains would have a majority of the storage facilities in the U.S. but that's not the case. I believe the largest company, Public Storage, has 2,300 +/- facilities where as the tenth largest, Platinum Storage Group has 100 +/-.  That's a pretty wide gap. A majority of the 58,000 +/- self storage facilities in the United States are privately owned businesses with 3 or fewer locations.
