Title: My "real" job...
Post by: hyp0luxa on September 06, 2012, 12:46:27 PM
I'm a SQL Database Developer for a Financial Services company. I work Tuesday through Friday, and hit auctions on Mondays, and sometimes I'll hit one during the week at lunchtime. I'm finding this to be a great supplement to my existing income, and I do believe that this could be a sustainable full-time business, should we wake up tomorrow with no computers, and no stock market!

It's taken a couple of months, and scoring 6 lockers so far to earn a little respect/acceptance from the local "pro's". Doesn't hurt that they see me at the Flea Market every other weekend too.
See my post in The Treasure Chest (http://"http://storageauctionforums.com//index.php/topic,2821.0.html") for my latest score.

Wonder if any of my old "buds" are still in the biz down there. Don't want to mention any names though. You sell at the Swap Shop in Fort Lauderdale, right?

Yup, at the Swap Shop. I think I'm going to start heading up there more often than every other week. The last 2 units I got are full of Swap Shop merchandise. The higher quality items I sell on Craigslist/Ebay.
