Title: Happy Thanksgiving
Post by: Travis on November 27, 2014, 12:50:05 AM
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Hope you have a great day with your family and friends.

We're going out to a restaurant this year...there's a first time for everything. At least there will be NO cooking, cleaning or guilt trips to force others into taking leftovers home.

Is anyone having the grocery store prepare your entire meal?

Happy Thanksgiving to you also. I'm cooking (ugh) but went to Costco to buy my turkey and noticed they have pretty much everything you could need pre-made, just heat it up. I have to admit I was really tempted! I have only eaten "out" on Thanksgiving once in my life, it was on a cruise and it was awesome!

My cousin and her family are missionaries and they're currently living in Turkey. Want to hear something really ironic? You can't buy a turkey in Turkey. Well, you can, but they're extremely hard to get and quite expensive since they have to be imported.

Thanksgiving at the restaurant went great. It was actually held at the Fort Hood Officer's Club. My grandfather is retired first sergeant and veteran of 3 wars, so he got us on base. Turned out really nice and everyone had a good time.
