Title: Spam emails...not from Clist
Post by: MovieMan on March 17, 2013, 07:04:23 PM
Received two spam emails today:

The first one purports to make me a multi-millionaire ! It was sent from a Marjie Simmons but text is about people
with other names.

#1

My wife Violet and I Allen Large won $11.3 million in a lottery 6-49 in July, 2010 and we have decided to donate the sum of $2,000,000.00 USD to you. Contact us via our personal email for more details ([email protected]).

The 2nd is from "FedEx" and suggests that my package had arrived 11 days ago but couldn't be delivered. They wanted me to push a "print receipt" button and take the receipt to the nearest FedEx office.

Hard to believe some people fall for this obvious CRAP approach in either #1 or #2.

I usually get 2-3 a day from someone claiming to be the wife of a late foreign government official or foreign bank manager needing assistance with transferring millions of dollars to a U.S. bank account.
