When you say vintage, how far back do you mean.
Pre 1980 ??

I have a lot of basketball cards around 5000 of them most are from the 90s....not any signed or jerseys but I know there are plenty of rookies I just havent look at them in a while. Will this be something you are interested in?

no thank you, you may have the quantity but anything in the 90"s arent worth the paper they are printed on......
the card manufacturers saturated the market the whole decade......
your best bet is to put them on ebay as a LOT, and try to get the most out of them..... probably $20 will be the highest bid

Yea I know with baseball even rookies from the 90's arent worth all that much. Like you said, the card market was saturated back in the early to mid 90's. The unfortunate part is that people still think their 1991 Fleer set is worth $100

Hang on to your cards, everything in life goes up and down.
So with the baseball cards and their value.
You never know, maybe 2 years from now or 5 years from now, there is one or several cards that for some reason every collector just wants. Then you have it and you can make money on it.
I have seen it happend.

What about Michael Jordan cards, are they worth anything?

Michael Jordan and some other basket ball players have a huge following of collectors, who are willing to pay top dollar, if you have something special or rare. Plain jordan cards, look up the value in a beckett magazine.
Basketball, football and hockey cards have kept their value better then baseball.
The demand is also bigger for football, hockey and basketball.
Typical players you should look out for is.
Basketball:
Michael Jordan
Scottie Pippen
Larry Bird
Magic Johnson
These 4 have a good price and demand.
Hockey:
Gretzky
Super mario
Yzerman
Hall
Messier
Crosby
Football:
Dan Marino
Brett Favre
Joe Montana
Jerry Rice
Emmet smith
Steve young
Troy Aikman
And of course all the big players before 1970.

Some cards that I have sold through ebay that have made me some coin too are:
Adrian Peterson rookie cards
Tom Brady
I found 2 Topps Roger Clemens Rookies sold them as a lot and got 15 for them
Nolan Ryan regardless of year will eventually sell
Any 90's-00 HOF'er rookie will sell on ebay
Derek Jeter sells a lot, I sold 6 Jeter rookies within the last year and I think I got around 60 for all of them.
Cards still sell.

sure cards still sell good but they are not even close to what the pricing guides say if you sell via ebay.
ive bought and sold alot of cards through ebay and your best bet is to try to find anything pre 1960 and sell them individually (someone will buy them to complete a set) or newer cards that are auto'd (through the card manufacturer) or #'d cards with low digits...
