I'm pretty sure this is a compilation from maybe 12 units he said he bought in the last couple of weeks.

Yes, Movieman is correct.  This is stuff from probably six different units.  I just showed some of the cream of the crop here.  Maybe next time, I'll show the trailer loaded and ready to go to the dump!  Or, maybe the dirty mattresses, the dresser with no drawers, or the drawers with no dresser!  Or one of the many broken tools, or potentially valuable items that are missing a bunch of parts!  I do get a lot of good stuff, but I have to dig through a lot of crap just like anybody else!

That little 2 person sauna is cool. I'd probably keep it for myself. Nothing I'd ever buy for myself but if I got one in a unit that would be a cool thing to put out  in the garage for after workouts.

I have come to the conclusion that teacher is like the TV shows.  He hauls the bad stuff while the camera is charging, then shows us what's left.   

I am sure you make a profit teacher, but I wonder what you have to put in to get the kind of products you do.  I know my money roll probably can't handle what units with some of these items (if they were in plain view) would cost.

LOL!!  I have time between calls to "research" and work offline on other issues.  :-)  If I could have proof that the wireless card things would work from anywhere, I would just bring my laptop with me and cruise auctions while working from my "mobile" office.

Just so you guys don't have to lose any sleep wondering about this, I'll fill you in a little bit on my buying "habits". 

I have purchased 18 lockers in the last three weeks.  Not a single one was a 10' or 12' x 30', which are my favorites.  Most of them were 10'x10', along with a few 5'x10' and one was a 10'x20'.

I partnered up on about half of them, and the rest I bought alone.

Three of them were VERY good.  Three others were VERY bad!  The rest were all acceptable and I am very happy with my purchases overall.

Space is ALWAYS a problem.  I try to get this stuff to my shop and processed and gone as fast as possible.  Doesn't always go as planned, and I have a bunch of stuff in there that I haven't had a chance to sort as much as I'd like yet. 

I have a 7'x14' trailer, and I can usually cram a couple of 10x10's in there, unless they are totally packed or have a bunch of big furniture.  I will usually buy a few units, and then make the rounds with my trailer and get them cleaned out.  Sometimes, I will rent one for a month if it's a big unit and they have it on the "dollar special".  I just cleaned out the last one of those this morning as a matter of fact!

I LIVE this lifestyle!  It's what I do all the time.  I usually work 7 days a week.  I'll go to early auctions and late auctions, and I'm usually posting stuff late at night on CL.  I'm constantly moving and sorting stuff, trying to make enough room for the next round of auctions. 

The next round of auctions for me starts tomorrow afternoon with a Pods auctions.  Then, I have single auctions on Thursday, Friday, and a rare Saturday one.  Then, every day next week I will be on a "run" where a large company has many facilities and they start at one and will go to 8-12 facilities each day with anywhere from 1-6 units at each facility. 

By the time next Friday rolls around, I hope to have roughly 8-10 lockers.  Again, things don't always go to plan, and I may end up with fewer, or I might get lucky and things are going reasonable and I'll get them cheap and end up with more. 

Oh yeah, and I typically spend anywhere from 150-400 a piece for the majority of my lockers.  The most expensive one I've ever personally bought was 1200, but I have bid up to 4800 on one but didn't get it.  I have only actually lost money on three, but I have had a few where I worked my ass off just to break even.  I have no problem spending the money on a locker if I see something in there that I feel I can get my money back on.  I don't buy a unit just to "show off"!  This is all about making money for me, and if I want to gamble, I'll head to the casino and play blackjack!

I just KNEW somebody was, but I didn't think it would be you!  Sorry!

So, a quick math of averages says @10 lockers a week you are spending roughly 2750 out.  So lets see...that is 11k a month out for a 4 week month average....and then if you hope to make 100K in income, lets see, you would have to bring in about 18.5k a month...

Sounds like a lot of money going and coming....wow, and more if you want to afford health insurance.

I'm not buying like that every week though.  Only average 12-14 most months.  This month got a few more.  Not quite making 100k either, but I'm doing what I want to do when I want to do it and I don't have to go sit in some little cubicle all day doing what somebody tells me to do.  My biggest expenses (other than taxes!) are lockers, gas (averages around 700 a month) and warehouse rent.  Other than that, not a lot of expenses and I try to keep my overhead low and live "within my means".
