A packet of service records would tell the tale, but I'm sure they're not available.

I'll look for them. I also think a good mechanic could tell based on maintenance.

From your pic I would bet 21k is correct.  Something that big would have picked up some dents, dings, body repairs, ect in 120k miles.  Another quick check is the brake pedal rubber pad, does it look excessively worn?

I have a 1987 motorhome with about 20K miles. It had about 17K when I got it over 3 years ago. So not an unusual low mileage IMO. The gas mileage does suck on the thing, but it doesn't run all over the county. Most trips are with-in a 60 mile range.

The people have spoken. I guess I am thinking of just a normal Ford van of that vintage which would be more likely to have 100K miles on it.

Go for it Travis. Did the cop want it for surveillance?

I'll call him today. I hired a couple of guys to clean it out on Sunday and we found some rotten wood & leaks in a couple of the walls. I don't know if that will be a deal breaker for him or not.
