I personally haven't come across a lot of construction or farm equipment at storage auctions, but if you have tell us about your experience.

Anyone have experience buying and selling forklifts? Just wondering what is the least you have ever seen one sell for?

This gas powered Clark forklift appears to be manufactured in the mid to late 1990's or early 2000's, the paint looks like crap but it is operational. Probably a 3 or 4 ton rating.

I need to sell this thing fast, what would you ask for it?

It might help people give you an idea of its value (pic worth a thousand words); at a minimum, is there a model number you could pass along?

I saw one sell about two years ago for $6K (at an auction) and the guys who didn't get it were saying that was the going price for that model (don't know what it was).

I've been watching Craigslist and I can't seem to find one that runs selling for less than $3500. However, I contacted a heavy equipment reseller and he only offered me $500 for it. I thought he was just low balling me but he never raised his offer.

I don't have a lot of time or room to store a forklift while I wait for a buyer. Not only that, I really don't want to have to move it. I was thinking about putting it for sale at a price that will encourage a quick sale but at the same time, I don't want to sell myself short by pricing it too low.

I haven't bought it yet. I was just trying to get an idea of the value so I don't get stuck with an enormous paperweight.
