Sam,

I sold one that looked just like that but it was in VERY good condition, much better then the one you have pictured, for $70 at the auction house. There is little market for antique sewing machines right now, and as you might expect, the market is flooded with them. Mine was a New Home, manufactured in 1895? maybe a little earlier.

In that condition, in my neck of the woods, unless it is an extremely rare make or model, or has some kind of historical relevance, I would guess $15, sorry.

Here's what I would do with it: take the iron base off, sandblast it, paint it black, put a wooden top on it and sell it as a table for about $150, maybe more, depending on where you live. (I say that as I type atop just such a table!)

You also could make stuff from the drawers, put a top on them and create little mini cabinets, and sell those.

I agree, there's no value in the sewing machine in that condition.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Like Cobia said market flooded with them.

Like what Bowie said break it apart and make something new. I know the pieces sell.

Could try and sell whole but maybe $75 - $100.  ??? Mainly because the wood design is different.

Look under the plate near the needle on the machine. If the bullet bobbin is there those are worth something, usually always missing.  Looks like this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Antique-Singer-VS2-Bullet-Shuttle-Case-Long-Bobbin-Cleaned-27-28-127-128-/310351489635?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item484263ea63

If you put in a shop take the bullet out they get stolen a lot too.

Hope that helps. let us know what you wind up doing.
