Hi Everyone,

New to this forum, been buying a couple of lockers here in Australia - totally different to America as all auctions are only done online and not at the actual storage facility - great information on here and alot of knowledgeable people.

Hey, welcome to the forum. I think you're our first member to post from Australia. I did not know that storage auctions in Australia were held online. That just confirms that online storage auctions are the future of this industry. We here in the U.S. have a lot of catching up to do.  ;)

Thanks Travis

I think we in Australia are the ones who have to do the catching up lol just in terms of having people who know a lot about the business, what to do, how to buy. Storage locker buying is kind of new here. I can tell there is a lot of people on here that know what they're doing and have been in the business for a long time (such as yourself) which is pretty refreshing from talking to people here who don't know much or have much experience

Then I'm guessing it wasn't you that deleted it the first time I posted it?  :-*

Hi

Havent been on here in a while, thanks for your post Alloro definitely made it alot easier to read haha. Anyway finding alot more people here in Australia are definitely getting into buying storage lockers now and the prices are getting higher and higher, which is kind of annoying. And to answer your question, we dont have any of our own shows here and are still stuck with watching the american storage shows :)

elfaacorpp, welcome back! Are there any differences between storage auctions in Australia and the US?

I guess main difference is the experience of people here compared to US. Everyone here including myself are mostly newbies still to it, compared a to the people on your side who have been doing it for a long time. Everything here is still online so no change there.

Found a few good items but still never realized how much hard work there is to itespecially when I do it as a hobby, weekends feel like weekdays  :'( lol

Is there a specific site that hosts most of the online auctions or does each facility auction them off on their own website?

Yep one main auction site that auctions most of the lockers off.

What site is it? We plan to eventually move into the Australian market, we're looking into the legalities now.
