When a unit comes along that you really want and someone outbids you, do you ever get angry?

At the other person? Of course not. It you want it you bid. If the other guy bids over your limit he gets it. Thats the way it works. Occasionally get mad at ourselves for not going higher (Non buyers remorse).

Generally, when I bid on units that I want and I get out-bid I don't give it another thought cause I'm pretty confident there is not much money (profit) left in them.

Now on units I REALLY want; I don't get out-bid, that's just how I roll!  ;)

Only because I haven't seen a unit in the last 2 years worth more then the money in my pocket.

Now there is always the possibility that some jackpot unit will come up and some other high roller may out-bid me, but we just don't get those type of high quality units in my area. Unless it's a sleeper unit like a piano bench with $17,000 in silver nobody can see from the door.  8)

sometimes when someone is taking every unit all day it gets frustrating. just gotta remember letting emotions take over just gets you making stupid decisions.

thats kinda why i like silent bid or sealed bid  auctions. takes out the emotional factor as well as the competitive factor so i often find units go for less

Got a question for you Cobia.  Do you follow the same thinking if you are bidding against a newbie who is not only serious about the auction business but clueless as to the value and happen to have a lot of money on them?  Or the bidder who either has no control and cannot think straight enough to stop bidding or the one who doesnt understand the value of a dollar, doesnt set a limit prior to bidding and obviously because of not setting a limit, will possibly keep bidding and bidding just to win the locker?

I see you did some research and found ONE of the anger/frustration threads.  Also, that's a lot of questions. Go to it Cobia !
