Are CL buyers really nuts or what?

I had a couple drive 150 miles for a $25 chest of drawers.

Had a lady drive about 15 miles and was pissed off. Got out of her Lincoln navigator, saying I can't believe anybody would drive out here. Looked at the table said not sure how I could get it home. I am not driving out here again !! I said do your seats fold down it will fit in your car. Buyer I can't move it. !!!!

Will you take $85 (asking $125).

NO !!!!!!!!

Need the sale but will burn it before selling to her.

Update:   Will have to eat my words. She called back and asked if we could deliver for the $125.
Less than 5 miles away so sure. LOL   

In contrast I had a rather pleasant experience recently with a Craigslist buyer. I was selling a toy box, she emails me, we setup a time, she shows up on time, hands me the money and never asked to see the toy box first or if I would take less. When I asked if she wanted to see it before giving me the money, she simply said no I saw the pictures online.

I have had a few of those too. Kinda nice.

Hope she is not nasty to my husband might end up in the dump. 
The table that is. 

Sunday girl calls on table. Told her I could meet Monday before noon or anytime the rest of week, gave my addy (don't like that but since I can't drive right now...)
Doesn't show. Emailed. Called. No reply.
Tue night wantd go meet. Then doesn't show.
Wed morn at 6am calls! Sounded drunk. Wantd to meet at 2pm. This time calls to cancel....at 3:30!
Tonight she just shows up! 
Table asking price is $40. Doesn't even look at it before she says it's only worth $15. I say: really? You can tell that from the ONE picture I posted. (should add that the only reason I posted it was I was trying to sell to another guy for $20 and wanted to show him I had it posted at $40, "what a deal I'm give'n ya!" thing)
She looks says it's crap, I say good bye. But then she gets huffy about driving out and my add said it's this and that....long story short, she wasn't even at the right house! lol
She had been dick'n me around while she scoped out other tables and then came to my addy on accident!
Finally I agree on $25. At which she gets in her car and lifts the hatch and stares at me. After a few minutes she asks "well, aren't you going to load it!?"
Here I am in a full imobolization sling and she expects me to somehow get a table three feet up into a tahoe!

Wait a minute. "All the way out here" is 5 MILES from where she wanted it delivered to?

We had one similar. Was giving us crap about this and that. Decided to meet at a Kroger. I pulled up and took the table out of the truck. She had a Denali (seats laid down and whatever). She looks it over, asks if I'll take 70.00 told her no since I had to drive to meet her so she gave me the 80.00 I wanted. She said "I expect you will load it for me since I paid you 80". When she turned her back to walk back to her truck I got in mine and left.

Turned out to be about 10 miles really, She didn't know were she lived. She was here visiting her Granddaughter and bought the table for her.

We are 2 miles down a winding lime rock road. With swamp on both sides. Looks like you are driving to no where.

Tho, we had a cougar in the area and a bear a few times. But I never saw them.

Can't believe this happened today.
Posted 10 items on CL about 10am.
By 2pm I had five emails on five items.
All called. All showed. All on time. All were nice. All paid what I asked.

AND! ....four were in the same general area and met me at the same spot about 15min apart.

It was funny too cause there was another guy waiting for a Craigslist appointment. Tho he was buying.
I originally pulled up to him thinking he was there for me.
Had three people come while he still waited.  He was looking at me like "WTF?!". lol


So happy it worked this way cause all the items I posted were $20-30 and was dreading having to keep running out for $20.......

I had made the appointments outside a local discount store cause I knew it had a huge parking lot and was halfway between buyers and my house.  What I hadn't remembered is it shares a lot with a shady bowling ally/casino. 
So now I'm on video waiting in parking lot for an hour while people drive up for 3 minutes, had them a bag and they hand me money.....
I'm so gonna be followed by the vice squad now!  LOL.

I can't really complain about most buyers I've had the last month or so. Sold some big items for good bucks, BUT....

that said the idiots are always fun to talk about.

Fellow calls (slurring his words) and asks about a saw I had for sale. How much did I want for it? (Duh, the price is in the ad you are calling about).

"You're in (my city) right?  How far is that from (his city)?"  When I told him it was 90 miles there was a brief silence and I just jumped in with I don't think you want to make a 180 mile round trip for this saw. "Thanks and goodbye"...that last quote from me. Hopefully, the drunk (at 10 a.m.) got a good click in his ear.
