Maybe you should ask this lance guy on here, sounds like he has all the answers to ST, maybe he can set you up a date to have Barry, Moe, Dave or the Bubba guys buy your item.haha

Just the other day I found a never used Zippo light in a box of this from my parents house.  It has the logo of Liberty National Life Insurance on it my how things have changed.  I am going to see if it is worth anything since it has not sentimental value.

I was browsing an antique mall over the weekend and saw a display case with a few zippos. I own about a dozen, so i was curious about what they had.

They had a new in box Zippo from 1973 from a national boy scout convention. The fact that lighters were part of a boy scout event just shows how much things have changed.

That is one problem with tobacco items, though. As smoking becomes less popular, so do the related "collectables."

Zippo lighters were hot about 20 years ago.  As far as the ones in the photo's I would say no. You would probably be lucky to get $5 a piece for them.  But hey put them up on e-bay and see what happens.

I love weird lighters that don't sell! Have about 5 or 6 from the 10x30 that I will probably keep.

I sold a bunch of lighters that worked for $.25 each.  I tossed a ton of them that didn't work, even if they looked pretty cool.  Unless it is an "older" lighter they are so mass produced to be worthless.  Only one I kept was a 6" lighter of a Bass.  It doesn't work but with all the fishing nuts around here it may sell just for the looks.

I listed the Zippo lighter on ebay after my post Monday night starting at $9.99 and got a bid that night.  3 people have it on their watch list so I hope it will bring more.  There was a lot of Zippo lighters for sale so they may be getting to be hot again.

The problem is that there is a lot of them for sale.  That is what keeps the price down.  I see  lot with zero bids one them.

Same with collectable cars! As with battery run cars becoming more and more the trend  so do the related collectables ::). Yes the lighters will be collectables!!
