Must have relationships in storage auction business

Cultivating relationships with vendors and experts is a integral part of your success in the storage auction business. Having a solid group of people you can rely on for advice can increase your earnings and help you avoid costly mistakes.

When I was buying/reselling full time I had made the following contacts. An upholsterer, a furniture restorer, an appliance repair person, a person who would buy clothing in bulk, a couple antique dealers and even a resale shop that would haul off all my unwanted merchandise.

Do you have vendors or experts that you use on a regular basis? Are there certain "must have" relationships that recommend developing?

I do have an antique store and pawn shop that I deal with.  Estimates and buying/consignment.
Neither gives the best prices but they always are reasonable and have cash on hand.  Also know about things that I have no clue about.

I do my own restoration and fix (small) appliances myself.

Best contact is a guy that owns a flatbed.  He'll tow a car just about anywhere in the state for $50-$100, sometimes flat, sometimes plus gas if its far.

Also good for moving those huge items like a six foot tall, 700  pound drill press.....

He will also scrap my stuff for a fee/cut.
