Just came across this legal notice:


Notice of Public Sale
Pursuant of Chapter 59,
Texas Property Code,
Community Self Storage III
located on 2515 Washington
Ave. Houston, TX 77007
will hold a public auction
on property being sold to
satisfy a landlord’s lien. Sale
will begin at 10:00 a.m.
on Saturday, March 28th,
2015. Property will be sold
to the highest bidder. Seller
reserves right to set terms
of bidding and reserves the
right to not accept any bid or
to withdraw property from
the sale. Admittance will be
limited to the first 25 people.

Property being sold includes
contents of the following
tenants: DARYL NELSON
new dish sets, golf clubs,
walkers, exercise equipment,
computers, CURTIS TYREE
musical instruments, grill,
wooden chairs and tables,

Why do you think a storage facility would want to limit the number of buyers at their auction?

I would say crowd control, or parking issues. That aside, I'm not sure if it is legal for them to place that limit in light of the fact that the law calls for it to be a public auction.

So it's okay only if you make it in? What's next, people camping out in line just like with concert tickets and Black Friday.
