Hey, I was wondering what kind of flashlights everyone used. I picked up a 1200 Lumen Ultrafire for $45...It's about 5 1/2 inches long...I prefer small flashlights. What do you use?

I use a similar light; Trustfire. Got mine for $40 on eBay...$30 for light and $10 for shipping. Another guy told me he got his for $10 ! (then told me the shipping was $30).

Mine has rotating handle which reveals the charging port. Holds charge great....I only recharge every 3 weeks or so. Considering they aren't turned on for all that long at a time I guess that makes sense.

Another guy has one that he says charges in 90 seconds and is super light-weight. Haven't researched it, but apparently uses some new tech.

Use a big Mag-Lite, have no trouble seeing everything with it, plus it will crack a skull if someone gets out of control.

Here's the dope on the ultra-light flashlight (polymer case), but at the advertised cost and only 200 to 270 lumens I don't think it competes with the $40-45 lights. (might find it cheaper somewhere else though)

I use a little spotlight that can charge at home or in the car.  Is like 4k+ lumes or something if I remember correct.  It isn't heavy and last a few hours before need to recharge it again.  May have to look for something smaller but it was cheap so picked it up.

i have a stanley 2mil candle power light.  Its a bit much to carry on 20unit plus runs, but it helps to see the back end of the units.

I use the Stanley too, although I think I might upgrade to this.

I've used a lot of lights in the past... mostly Surefire, though some were Energizer's Hard Case.  While I like these lights for personal protection, etc... they are not suited for storage auctions.  Batteries are usually CR123 which can cost $5/ea.  That adds up fast. when expected run time is 1-5 hours at $120 lumens on average. Ouch!

I just bought the Stanley 1M for $17.88 from Walmart.  By far the best value!  1 Million Candles and 580 lumens. I'd need binoculars to see as far as this light goes.  But the real plus is that it comes with car charger, wall charger, 3 hr. run time, and 1 year guarantee.

If you need a good light for cheap... this is the best one.  Even if it only lasts as long as the 1 year guarantee, then it only costs  $1.49/month!  Best value.

Actually, this is what you need AFTER the auction to help with the clean out!
