Only two days left on the online auction in Florida !

Starting bid appears to be $500 for this smallish locker.

Be great if it sold!

Yeah, I agree. It would be great if it sold but I'm not very confident that it will considering the 3 day marketing time and the rather high reserve. But, stranger things have been know to happen. Hopefully he will re-list it and allow a little more time for marketing....possibly even take some better photos.

The last private sale we had on the site had over 700 views in the first week, so I know it's getting traffic. The last auction didn't receive any online bids because, it too, had a really high reserve...it did however sell at the live sale for less than the reserve.

Looks like a real storage facility just posted an auction with us. Gotta start somewhere right?  ;)

The one in Florida....no bids but the reserve price was met. It started at $500, got no bids but the reserve price was met. Strange these online auctions.

I'll look into that, sounds like a glitch. The others that didn't meet the reserve didn't do that. I wonder if it was something the seller did.

Looks like the unit is going to sell. VSA has had a flood of new registrations since this auction began. The seller started with a $300 reserve which was a little high for this unit in my opinion. He lowered the reserve to $200, then a day or so later dropped the reserve completely. Right after he dropped the reserve he had several bids.

I've not examined your site in depth, but do you have an article on there to explain to sellers how to have a successful online auction?

No, but that's a good idea.  The site has around 50 articles on it already but no detailed instructions on how to ensure a successful auction. If it did, I imagine it would go something like... Don't use the reserve bid unless you feel it's absolutely necessary and if you do, try not to set it too high.  Be as detailed as possible when writing your description. Take high quality photos from every possible angle. Don't worry if there hasn't been a lot of activity in the first few days of the auction because most bidding occurs in the last few minutes.

The auction finally closed. The unit sold for $235, which I think is a pretty fair price for the buyer and the seller. The unit was viewed 619 times. Didn't cost the seller a penny to sell. Didn't cost the buyer a penny to buy. Everybody's happy.
