Many states not only allow, but actually require management to go through the contents taking pictures and gathering a basic inventory. What they're not allowed to do is remove items.

From what facility owners told me, they are not allow to step into a locker and can only take photos' from the door.  These are photo's from auctions in my state.

Here's another one, where they clearly walked in the locker to take a photo from the top of a box.

Why does it take so long for their photos/zoom to load?

Why does it take so long for their photos/zoom to load?

Maybe because they have so many auctions listed.

How would that affect the speed at which a zooming page script loads?

Inadequate server or poor coding. It's most likely the coding.

I noticed that also, they probably just need to reboot their servers. Most likely a memory leak. But that's a different discussion, why derail my topic?

It's being going on for years....and  :sorry:, that wasn't intentional or anything.   ;)

When it comes to expecting the unit to be completely en-tact just like the tenant last left it at auction time, TRUST NO ONE!  :41:

Don't trust the mom & pop facilities.

Don't trust the small company facilities.

Don't trust the mega-chain corporate facilities.

I've won several units from an "unnamed" nationwide storage facility that "cuts" the locks in front of you at auction time only to find additional cut locks inside the unit, footprints on the furniture (from climbing over stuff), rummaged boxes, rental agreements from the facility with the tenants name but different unit number, personal items from two or more distinctly different people or families, etc...

The gig is up due to the TV shows. Facility owners, managers, and employees aren't letting the obvious high value merchandise make it to auction like they use to. More and more the great stuff either disappears and we never see it or they make sure it makes it's way to the front of the door so everyone can see it.

I don't see anything wrong with this, if i were a manager and it werent against the law id set the nice stuff in front too.

Keep in mind that in some states storage facilities have a duty to sell the goods in a commercially reasonable manner. They're actually required to sell certain merchandise through a different medium if they believe they can recover more for the tenant by doing so.
