Storage Battles Nickels and Dimes it's Clients

I'm sure most of you are aware that Storage Battles charges a 10% buyers premium.

You might even be aware of the additional 10% that they charge the storage facility.

Here's the shocker.  :-\

If a tenant comes in to pay for their unit before the auction ends, Storage Battles charges the facility a $10 cancellation fee. Now according to CEO Jim Grant, 40 percent of auctions on StorageBattles.com wind up being canceled because tenants end up paying their bills.

So, if a facility has ten delinquent units and 4 tenants come in to pay, the facility has to pay Storage Battles $40?  :-[  For what? They didn't do anything to earn that money.

Fees, Fees, Fees. I don't get it. I got nickel and dimed by my bank once. Know what I did? I switched banks.

One day they'll get tired of paying for a service that they could be getting for free on VirtualStorageAuction.com.

I understand the frustration with Storage Battles but right now they are the only game in town when it comes to online storage.  I have gotten a couple of decent units for $20 and $40 and watched in utter amazement as ok units went 2-5 times what they should have.  Nickel and dimes are a pain but if storage facilities get 2 or 3 times the amount they would then it makes sense for them to stick with it.

The units listed on VirtualStorageAuction.com are doing just as well as the units listed on Storage Battles. Only difference, no seller fees, no buyer's premium (which essentially comes out of the seller's pocket since the buyer considers this fee when placing a bid) and no cancellation fees.

Hey, if a storage facility wants to throw away $300-500 or more in useless fees every month, that's their choice. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.
