There was no visible A/V stuff in the unit.  A few things that looked like props, including fake plants, and a big tarp thrown in the back corner.  I wasn't expecting the good stuff, but it would have livened up a hot afternoon.

Saw one on Friday in an oddly shaped corner unit.  Right in plain sight were a beat up, half-height, upright piano, a very beat up front loading washer and dryer, several large pieces of furniture (all in bad shape or particle board).  Then back in the weird corner were lots of boxes and interesting things like tools and even a funky sculpture.  But no one wanted the piano or the beat up laundry machines, so a regular got it for very cheap.  I don't remember exactly, but I want to say right around $150-$200.  Someone asked him what he would do with the piano and he answered, "Bring a sledgehammer."

I was traveling for work last night and missed it.  But I see it is on their website (www.kcra.com), but I am blocked from video here at work.  I'll watch it later tonight.  Thanks for letting us know. 

I've only been to a few auctions, but Forrest was one of them.  He was very friendly, let people take their time looking, and a font of information and stories.  Quite a contrast to the J. Michaels auctioneer I did a circuit with (that guy also appeared as an auctioneer on Auction Hunters, so I guess he travels all over CA).

I use a Google Voice number for Craigslist, but I ran into this problem too.  After some research, I found out that CL won't accept VOIP phone numbers.  They want a physical phone number, and I wound up using my actual cell number and it worked fine.

I don't know what type of phone number you are using, but if it is a VOIP number (like Google Voice), CL won't accept it.

As I was looking at the legal notices yesterday, I saw that one of the owners of a unit going up for auction is a film production company.  I Googled them (naturally) and found that they are very small (hence not paying on their storage), but I am intrigued by what may be in there... I am having visions of all kinds of A/V equipment dancing in my head.  I'm assuming it will be too rich for my blood, but one can always dream. 

I'm not even sure I'll be going to that one (couple weeks out), but if I do, I'll report back.

So, I have been going through my home as if it were a storage locker and selling various things through various channels in order to get a bankroll to go out and get that first locker.  But it has led to a question for you experts...

I have 7 collectible items (wargames of various titles) that I want to sell.  On eBay, they could go for between $650-$750 for the lot.  I found a game store that sells out-of-print games, and he sells these titles from $50 to $350 for each of  my titles (two of them at the $350 each price).  This store also buys games, so I contacted him, and he offered me $400 for all seven.

My question is, what would you do?  Do you go for the sure $400?  Do you put them on eBay with a reserve, but they might not sell?  Do you try craigslist first?  

Say you found these in a unit... what do you do to unload them?  All advice is appreciated.

I have no idea, but the thing that popped into my head was cartridge box... I have no idea though, that's just a guess.
