Wow, didn't know I was going to get so bashed for asking a simple question   As you see I am a newbie and I am selling stuff around the house first but am also going to some auctions to get the lay of the land.  Anyway, being new I was just wondering if the $100 cleaning deposit was normal/high/or low. 

My question is just that... do you open your boxes, bags, etc. on site or do you normally pack it up and open it at home/your own storage unit/thrift shop?  I have seen the shows where they open a box and toss it just to find that "good stuff".  I think it would be better to open and sort when you are in your own element or am I wrong?  BTW I love to hear all opinions. Thanks.

It may also have to do with those who go to yard sales usually won't go to the same yard sale week after week.  Also what someone else said is true, about the time of the month.  Around here the first Saturday of the month is always the best.
