Congratulations! Thats a nice score. I new it had value,  being hand carved and hand painted. Did your guy confirm your huntch that it is indeed a bar? And from Germany? My biggest question from the start was how does the average German citizen have a bar of that value in their home? I like the research end of this hobby alot is all I'm saying. How did you make out with this unit?  I was at that auction, and remember this unit. There was another unit that had a briefcase sitting right in plain sight also. Two briefcases at the same place on the same day in two different units. That was a first for me.
