I should think that it's the mode of operation of the business that determines what kind of customer make use of pods rather than the stationary storage units at a storage facility. People all have the same kind of things though! You're probably just as likely to get good stuff out of one of these as one of the traditional units!

In my opinion, it shouldn’t be of any problem as the entire storage facility is rightfully theirs anyway. Hence, it is considered their territory and rights to perform any selling provided that those items on sale are not illegal. It is a similar process to that of a storage unit auction, only that the items on sale are theirs.

There are a lot of kinky people out there my friend! Haha! While us normal people think that it's gross and totally unhygienic, there are those weird fellows out there who really enjoy that kind of thing. In any case, it's another dollar in your pocket…

Good count of the number of storage units being advertised. So precise! Kidding aside, I also wonder why that nowadays the number of storage units being auctioned are on the rise. Although I haven't seen any double numbers like this, but I have seen advertisements in some areas that it consistently increased over time. I have checked and compared our rental policies and these are still the same - haven't changed a single bit but I think more and more people have defaulted for reasons we are not aware of. 

I’m really finding this quite informative. As a self storage manager, we appreciate the auctions a lot because it does help us to clear units out and help us get them ready for the next users. I'd love to chip in my 2 cents - have any of you decided to go into collaborations for storage auction units? I would think that as long as each party puts in the same amount of effort as the other, you can cover twice the number of units, halve the costs of clearing and share the haul. More importantly is finding the right partner to get into this kind of thing into, but they always say 2 heads are better than 1!

Honestly, if I were to find a bunch of really old VALUABLE coins in my backyard, I'd probably take some advice from you guys and maybe just one step further - what about putting the whole pot into a self storage unit or vault? That way they can pass off as not too far away from their current standard of living, but create some really good legacy money for t heir kids and grandkids.
