The Treasure Chest / Looks can be deceiving
« on: September 25, 2012, 01:28:25 PM »
We bought a locker yesterday at an opening bid of $25.00. No one else bid on it, as it was mostly cheap flea market stuff, pots and pans, junk furniture, etc. After hitting some more auctions I went back to rummage and found $1,200.00 cold cash at the bottom of a checkbook refill box. Some more digging turned up about 30 boxes of unopened Diabetes test strips which sell for over $30 a box on eBay, and about $100 worth of scrap gold and silver. With that and all of the swap shop merchandise, we're looking at clearing about $2600.00 off of this $30 junker. This is why I do this.

The "Other" Job / My "real" job...
« on: September 06, 2012, 12:46:27 PM »
I'm a SQL Database Developer for a Financial Services company. I work Tuesday through Friday, and hit auctions on Mondays, and sometimes I'll hit one during the week at lunchtime. I'm finding this to be a great supplement to my existing income, and I do believe that this could be a sustainable full-time business, should we wake up tomorrow with no computers, and no stock market!

Welcome to the Online Storage Auctions Forum / Hello from Miami, FL
« on: September 05, 2012, 03:53:29 PM »
Hello everyone, I've just started in the Storage Auction game down here in South Florida. I've purchased 3 Units so far, bringing in a decent profit after all costs, but still have a ton of stuff left to sell. I mostly sell on Craigslist, and occasionally eBay. Less valuable merchandise I'll take to the Swap Shop once a month or so. To see my current listings search

Good luck to all, and happy hunting!
