I'm not an auction hunter but an auction watcher. Love the Storage Wars shows. Didn't know about storage auctions until a few years ago.

I am from the generation of flea market selling/buying/hope-to-God-you-make-a-profit. Every Saturday back when I lived in Texas I either hung around with my father or went to take a walk around the flea market. Let's just say the Texas heat most unforgiving.

We sold stuff (lawnmowers, air coolers, bikes, toys) at a small local Fort Worth flea market but bought stuff at a Dallas flea market, but we didn't go there often. For a kid, it was a cool way to spend the afternoon.

There's only one storage unit where I live and I believe they shot a promo there for Storage Wars, though I'm not 100% on that. Mojave desert, by the way.
