I have started to buy and sell MacBooks.  I have learned how to do a complete wipe and clean install of Mountain Lion, Creative Suite 6 which includes Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and more.  Also included are Final Cut Pro, iweb, Virtual DJ Pro, Soundtrack Pro and more.

I can meet you in the Dallas Fort Worth area and do the install for $60.  It is over $1500 in software.  You can message me via the forum.

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: Calling Ahead
« on: October 16, 2013, 10:20:56 AM »
I always call no matter how units are listed a couple of hours before the auction.  I keep contact info on all the managers that I can to help me remember names and info.  I try to chat them up about family etc and then about the units.  I don't have the chance to go to a ton of auctions during this time of the year so I try to get as much info as possible.

Craigslist is where I usually sell the consoles and games as a bundle.  I am trying to get rid of as much as possible before the launch of the new Xbox and PS3 because Clist will be flooded with older systems then.

I watch a lot of the free training videos ST puts out and they are informative.  I will not pay for any training though because I believe the info is out there for free.  Forums like this one are very helpful.  There are some good blogs out there as well that cover the same subject without all the production value.

Online Storage Auctions / Re: Online Auctions In Dallas Zipcode
« on: October 11, 2013, 10:41:24 AM »
There are not that many online storage auctions in Dallas.  There have been a couple of big ones but usually just a handful a week.

You are not missing anything search wise.  Its so new and your average storage manager are pretty old school.  The couple at Advantage Storage in Irving love it though and they are the only ones I have had a real conversation about online stuff with.

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: What vehicle do you drive to auctions?
« on: October 11, 2013, 10:38:18 AM »
I drive my Honda Odyssey because it gets decent gas mileage and I can put valuables inside.  I have a trailer I can pull if needed.  I don't tend to go to far for my auctions, its the advantage of living in a big city with dozens of auctions a week.

General Storage Auction Talk / Re: Auctioneer's Strange Habits
« on: October 11, 2013, 10:36:32 AM »
Anyway, I've been to their auctions before and they are definitely unusual. Before the auction begins, Keith leads all of the buyers in prayer. Now, that may or may not be your thing but you have to give the guy credit that he's putting God first in his business.

So, do you think this is appropriate?

Have an auctioneer in your area that does something strange? Tell us about it.

It is not my thing but it is there business and they can do what they like.  I am personally weary of those that love to show their piety in public.  But I would still go to the auctions if they are good auctions and they treat everyone fairly.

PayPal still holds my funds because I am new.  It usually takes a couple of weeks for it to show up.

Yes the guitar case is an older TKL and is really cool.  Already had an offer to buy it from a musician friend for $75 was just sad cause if the case is worth that much imagine what could have been inside.

I am looking up in youtube DIY and awesome resource BTW to replace the power cords.

You guys are great resources to bounce ideas off.  I have been so stinking busy, I am a chef that works at my kids church and school and we have a big wedding tomorrow.  It is hard not to process more.
