Man I hated those when I lived in FL

You mean you did take any with you?  :(

They are awful this year just every where.

Being swarmed by the little buggers. Don't ever recall them being this bad.

Don't open your mouth while outside you may get an unexpected snack.  :-X

Husband had to come home and wash (scrub) the windshield, and go back out to finish his work.

Their dead bodies eat your cars paint if you don't get it off. They are harmless but annoying. I go outside and I am swarmed.

For more information if you would like.

Well Craig I could certainly forward them to you.  ;D

What is so cute about Chest of Drawers not in the greatest shape.

Oh wait I got it they think I am some lonely old man.  ::)

Ebay idea from this that scares me to even think about it.  :-\

The real rant happened when I went on to eBay and saw the item had been pulled, and again when the other similar items by different sellers were NOT pulled and SOLD !

As I said....at LEAST they could be consistent !

I am sure that was a rant I would not have wanted to be a part off.  ;)

About what ?

Ebay Rant.     The good, bad, and the ugly.

Well I'll probably upset a few here, but we killed a small diamondback on our property last week.  It is the only one we've had within our fences.  We get tons of bull snakes (the best snake EVER!!).  Kinda funny.....we'll see rattlers on the roads around our area, but 8 years and only one on the property......unfortunately with 2 kids and one dog.....that is one too many~

Do you think the little guy that scared the crap out of me survived?

Dog and live stock...  We have 20 acres we use about 2 that is mine.

Bulldogmom flip flops should not be an option.  ;)

Alloro don't think I am store ready. Still treading water on ebay. And when I started selling think I was getting 100 listings free a month. Think I have dropped down to the 50 free.

Feel better Movieman ???   ;)

Craig I am selling Levis, a pair of Carhartt brush pants, currently selling Levis boys size 8, and a braids-maid / little black dress.

I start the Levis at $5 and they go up from there last pair went for $16. The Carhartt started at $9.99  ;)
and that is what they sold for, short fat size. The boys jeans and the dress are at the first bid at $5, so will see. They also fit in the padded flat rate envelope. The carhartt had to be estimated shipping.  ::)

And I add a handling charge on the shipping ? Can't remember been playing with that usually $3 but I think I dropped to $2 on the padded envelope shipping.

The nice thing about the flat rate shipping is it gets there fast.

Just realized that it is mostly mens clothing that I have put up for sale.  I have  a lot of ladies so will keep you posted as I get it done. (don't hold your breath  ;) ).

Awwww Thanks.

Made me laugh.

Actually for the leather jacket I DO recommend hanging it in the sunlight. The UV rays will kill the tobacco odor.

Just quoting what i found on Google. Did hang ours in the sun for one day then a few more in the shade.

eBay / Sales Back On

Re-listed all the items that did not sell last week. Sold two already.

I try to list so end times are after Church on Sunday. But listed early yesterday morning just to get it done, Just a few hours later, two sold.  :D

Clothes are doing well for me on ebay. Specialty items not so much. China Tea set, Set of painted glasses and decanter.  Things I consider fluff items.

Not sure if because I am a new seller (13) or just signs of the economy. (low ebay # some people don't leave feed back.)

Sells at the thrift really dropped when the gas prices were close to $4.00. If you have to drive 30 miles round trip to get to work can't spend money on non essentials.  Gas prices are falling for us. So maybe sells will pick up. Just my opinion.

Craigslist / Chest of Drawers

Listed  2 Chest of Drawers on CL.

have received about 20 emails about them. All porn driven. This is one of them.

"We are near to one another so why not meet for wine in near future? I already know this is for sales but I could not back off, you sound chill. Are we able to chat at this moment, I have used this site few days ago and it's sincerly good - I was hoping we could go over there and learn about each other much better! ;) I have already published personal pics for you, all you have to do is register (don't fret, there's no cost). I will message you as soon as I see you log on. I promise you will NOT be unsatisfied! "

Picture was also attached. (no I am not going to post it here).

Have taken Movieman's advice of no email contact.

Guess using the words Chest or Drawers is a tip for someone looking for a good time.  ::)

Use Vinegar in the final rinse of the clothing. Removes odors. They want smell like vinegar. If you can hang on a clothes line would help.

Being in a non smelly environment will help. Had some that I had in a tote pulled out about two weeks later to wash because they had a slight odor, not rosey but they were better.  Left the lid off the tote also put some unused dryer sheets in the tote.

On the leather. Did some research and just letting it air out is the easiest. We picked one up that was the lovely musty smell. Doing better.  Hang it outside not in the sun. A google search will give you some other ideas.

Hope that helps.

Picker's Paradise / Re: Picking Yard Sales Weekend May 4

Post some pictures - would be interested to see THAT!  (Junk place, not the porno!! :P)

Also, how do you pitch those videos at a yard sale?  "I...um.....have some stuff by Seka-something-or other.....that I....um.....am selling for my....neighbor......"  (Alrighty then....)

LOL

Will try and get a pic or two of the junk place. The lady who runs it is a few sandwiches short of a full picnic basket.  ;).

Tried to by a piece of a rocking chair. (curved bottom to repair a rocker we have) She said oh that goes to that rocker over there (all in pieces) Somebody will buy that. I had to put them back.  ::)

But if you can not find what you are looking for (parts and pieces) you probably want.

I love this business, but I can never fully enjoy a locker until it's paid in full~then....yeeeee ha!!!

 ;D

With you there Rockin. My cut up table if I sell will be the only profit on a break even locker.  ::)

NO Haw in Arizona????   :-\

Congrats on the sales.

No selling this weekend for us. We have been in the low 90's past two weeks and no rain. (the rain is what makes Florida bearable it will cool it off by 20 degrees, only if it comes after 3:00 PM)  :D
