The Treasure Chest / Thank you to all the hookers out there!

i bought a unit yesterday that was showing a nice sectional couch w/ ottoman plus a laptop right up front kinda hiding in a laundry basket. I payed $900 for the unit as there were also a couple nice flat screen tv stands and beds. plus lots of boxes bags and tubs. anyways long story short, this was a hooker unit(letters etc proved it to me) and this girl had some NICE STUFF. found a new all-in-one gateway computer, gucci boots(unworn in box) and about another $1000 in shoes(spike heels etc) most unopened in box. also in back was a brand new whirlpool washer and dryer set and a ton of other things that im probably forgetting. so $1000 for shoes, $1000 for washer/dryer/computer/couch about $300 for gucci boots and at LEAST $1300 in smalls makes for quadrupling the price of the unit. was about $100 in gas and etc expenses. best part is i already have buys for the couch and washer/dryer. now i gotta clear this out, i have another nice one to hit on saturday

I don't see anything wrong with this, if i were a manager and it werent against the law id set the nice stuff in front too.

when i start getting too many smalls i do a clean up and literally take a whole truckload out to auction. im very organised and if i start getting full on little stuff it doesn't stay long. time is money, space is money.

i'd do it exactly like they are doing it now. people don't want to see the truckloads of garbage you take to the dump, or rat crap etc. they like the part we like, bidding, winning and digging.

its all part of the game. especially when managers run the auction it's anything goes. I LOVE the unprofessionalism though, it keeps a  lot of people that are interested in "fairness" or that feel they are entitled away from a very lucrative auction.

people will take the tvs if you post a free craigslist ad, I can usually sell the dressers unless seriously damaged.(cheap if they are crappy).

i only run maybe one every month or two. I go all out. newspaper, local free papers, craigslist bookoo, hand made signs etc. the more the better. if there are TOO many people you are doing it right. If  you are COMPLAINING about too many people....I just dunno what to say about that :)

i have only rented a unit once because i bought 4 huge units and consolidated what i couldnt fit/sell into one. i had it cleared in a month though so only cost an extra $60. now i have an additional 16ft box truck that i keep empty except for using at storage auctions and it doubles as storage if i get too buy happy. I keep my overhead super low. If i can gross $1000 a week, well more than half is profit, and I always target large appliances so $1000 isnt hard to hit(its getting rid of the small stuff thats challenging).

im anticipating that this is a cameo with the option of a contract. When ratings fly they'll renogociate. It doesn't surprise me at all that they would rehire him. It's just like in the sports world, it's all part of the business unfortunately. It's just business.

is there a link anywhere to their pilot that aired a few months ago? i never caught that one

well. its not quite closed circuit tv, what they do is take 1 black and white photo of the unit from the door and thats what you bid on lol. well i got 1 that had a new looking push mower and grill up in front, no one could see anything else. so anyway i got it for $100 and there was a washer/dryer and a hd flatscreen hiding behind. among other nice things, was a big score. I still hate bidding on a picture though, I think next time ill just buy them all, they go fairly cheap.
