General Storage Auction Talk / the importance of researching items u find
« on: December 11, 2012, 04:13:32 PM »
Is unparallel. i had an item i looked up on ebayvthis last week. from what i found it was around 500 bucks.
so i put it on craigslist. i get the offer i was looking for and made the deal.
well he gave me a website to see the actual value of this item i sold him for 300$

And low and behold.....3500$

I was dumbfounded. what an idiot.

research people. its importante.

The forum had to be updated for security reasons. Also, the version that was being used was obsolete and technical support is being discontinued. The new template is somewhat similar to the old one and has a few extra convenient features. It may take a little while to get used to but I'm sure you guys can handle it.

If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading.
I can dig that

If i were going out to sacramento from LA what i would do first
is talk with people at my regular places see if anyone there could point me to the answers in my
original response. then id talk to.my regular auctioneers to get any info.
then id go to my usual storage auction info places(here would probably be of them)
When i got there id scout the facilities and areas before hand. Id put.together the best
location/auctions and around those locations id find the resale shops, pawns etc and ask them
where the best stuff in their stores seem to come in.from the most.

then id go. an learn what i can from there.

but thats just me.

Personally i look at:

Area, past auctions, auctioneer reputation, facility reputation, talk with other buyers, follow a good auctioneer etc

I wonder how many deals they make that fall thru prior to what makes the show

28
No, but they seem to care how a non celeb takes them off...just look at Nadya Suleman.
apparently 50 super market magazines will tell u ur wrong.

Show friggin sux

however trading can be a valuable tool for interesting items thats harder to sel
or cant seem to get a fair price forbthe worth of an item

i highly recommend trting.to trade it to either something more useful to u,
For more value, or something a person would be more likely to need
