Reality Shows about Storage Auctions / Re: Baggage Battles

Speaking of Baggage Battles, anyone else see the American Pickers episode where the guys are in New York City and visit Billy (who is on BB) to get a value on an old carnival/circus poster?

Seems Billy sported an eye patch and long scraggly hair in the American Pickers episode.  My guess is this episode was filmed just prior to Billy cutting a deal to be on Baggage Battles.

Anyway, just made me curious about what happened to the eye patch...

So far, SB has far more auctions in the Northwest.

Not complaining, mind you.  As long as there is growth in this area, I am happy!

Hey Guys,

I thought I'd take the opportunity to contribute.  I am a member of both the Storage Battles site and Virtual Storage Auction.

I've bid on both sites, although the pickings are relatively slim up in my neck of the woods.  I won a unit over at SB and was outbid on a unit at VSA this week.

Thought I would give my thoughts on both sites, for those interested.

PICTURES: I understand we are at the mercy of the facility for WHAT is photographed.  I have to say that SB usually has more photos and I absolutely love their ZOOM feature.  However, that comes at a price because the SB site loads painfully slow for my tastes.

FEES:  Pretty simple.  VSA doesn't charge a fee.  Every penny counts.

# OF AUCTIONS: SB has a significant edge.  In my case, it doesn't matter much because my area doesn't have many at either site.

EASE OF USE:  I think VSA is way easier to navigate.  Both could probably benefit from a "click on your state" feature, but that's just me.  SB is clumsy to use in that you have to select your search function (city or zipcode vs. state).

That's it for now.  Anyone else have something to add?

Hey guys,
First ever post on this forum.  Great timing on this topic!

Bought a unit last week for $350 (based on the Victor phonograph and Bosch washer dryer set).  Turns out the washer and dryer set was a bust.  However, I did find $191 and change in unused stamps.  Everything from 3 cent to 2 dollar stamps.

Too bad you can turn in the smaller cent stamps for bigger denominations
